Hi Dreux, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello all! My name is Dreux Wiltz, and I reside in the DFW area with my husband Marcus and dog Stella. I am a Lifestyle Influencer & Blogger. I started my blog Steadily Blooming (www.steadilyblooming.com) in 2018 because of my passion for empowering and motivating women to accept nothing less than putting theirselves first. Steadily Blooming was created to inspire women to be the best version of themselves by taking control of their lives. My blog shortly evolved into my influencer brand Dreux Monique (www.instagram.com/dreuxmonique) in 2020. My brand focuses on inspiring, challenging, and motivating women to feel confident in their skin, become more productive in their work/home life, and seeing all that the world the world has to offer.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say my biggest challenge was being able to identify my niche. I quickly learned that I could share all my passions that identify with so many women. Another struggle was creating quality content and curating an aesthetically pleasing feed that blended with my blog.
With me taking a mentorship class, it taught me to focus more on what you love, and others will gravitate to what they identify with. I was also able to find a wonderful local photographer and started curating content in the comforts of my home that felt so natural. This allowed me to show up every day authentically by giving others a glimpse into my reality without perfection. Working with my photographer allowed me to increase my confidence behind the camera and create more face-forward interactions with videos.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Over the years, I have come to realize that motivating and inspiring others brings me great joy. The best feeling is knowing you were able to make a positive difference in someone’s life. I want every reader to walk away from my blog/brand feeling confident, informed, and uplifted about their future. Self-care is so important for our mental health.
I share quick and easy recipes for those who have a busy work schedule and mom life as well as at-home workouts to stay active and live a healthy lifestyle. With my degree in Fashion Retailing & Merchandising, I have always had a passion for fashion and personal styling. Sharing affordable styles come second nature for me. Friends and family would always ask me to assist with styling outfits for them, and I love being creative with looks to match others’ personality. This passion has allowed me to become an Express Style Editor where I build looks and style others in my community.
In addition to content creating on social channels, I am a Branch Manager of a furniture showroom and have been in the interior decorating industry for 10 years. I enjoy curating looks and sharing home styling tips for the seasons. I believe your home is your sanctuary and each room should be a representation of you and your spouse’s personality. You will always find me at Target looking for new pieces to complete our home.
Growing means LIVING! One of my favorite things to do is travel the world with my husband Marcus. We have been to Iceland, Mexico, and Greece to name a few places. I do all the planning for our trips and share must-visit places as well as our itinerary on my blog. I know how stressful it can be planning a trip, so I try my best to help others with a day-by-day trip recap of pros and cons from our adventures. Sharing travel hacks is something my followers have found so helpful.
I am most proud of being one of the youngest Black Branch Manager’s in the company I work for and being able to foster a positive and uplifting work environment fueled with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
