Life & Work with Dyvon Harris of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dyvon Harris.

Hi dyvon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My love for music started out pretty young like around 7, my dad bought me this Mini little DJ kit where you could actually dj a mix kid tunes .. he got me that because he was a DJ at the time for k104 (still a DJ currently ) he DJs now for a different company now though.

Getting that dj set kinda propelled me forward with the love for music, i was in marching band and while in band after school i would go hop on my moms work computer and mess around on garage band,i was making beats at first kinda just messing around.. i tried out a few songs by around freshman year summer people told me my voice was really cool and unique and i just kept going with it.

Managing to actually get a mini buzz in my school at the time (bowie highschool arlington) from dropping on soundcloud that song picked up enough talk for me to start meeting the right people .. not too long after i landed my first performance by networking around slots typically cost at the local level if the show has pull.. so i sold my film camera at the time just to land a slot and i dont regret it even till this day, (i wonder what i coulda did with that film camera though i love photography and film too )

That show i rocked out and i was just hungry for the stage ever sense ( keep in mind i had many stage trials before then selling tickets on afton etc ..I went on a media run too on youtube of just straight music video drops from 2017-2019 with kingzelfilms

took a mean hiatus due to also having a kid in 2017! put a hold on my music for a while people wondered where i went , i dropped here and there, later down the line i link up more with my older brothers from my dads side and we form a rap group TDP its been going good but steady paced weve opened up for (moneyman, Big tuck ,Twisted Black ) and still hoping to grind more

as for me personally ive been doing some performing lately and getting the brand back up music videos will flow in soon my last one was in march (Young N*gga) i want to go on another media run cause i really am formulating my sound more than ever now i engineer my own vocals and lately thats been adding such a polished touch

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
like i had mentioned my kid i had while a senior in higschool put a really strain but even before that i always stayed in trouble they really didnt even want me at that school anymore if anything me having a kid slowed me down and saved me.
all i knew was the wrong crowds and looking for ways to come up my household wasnt just riddled with struggle but i for sure aint have the coziest circumstances my life was highly unpredictable and i spent alot of times under neglect my father wasnt around he has like 17+ kids

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
known for my voice, people just say its smooth deep sounds heavy and different

nowadays ontop of that i would say my special feature is my flows i have so many of em and i cant wait to showcase it more

i see myself as a dude who can pull a tune out from anywhere (not the best freestyler ) but im a real poet every line makes sense and they correlate typically even in my hype songs (my rhyme schemes , double entendres & flows just add all the elements that make a (Filthy K) track (stands for filthy kid) i go by Filthy K in current day

i have so much unreleased with quality , im focusing on other genres along side rap (R&B , Rap Pop , rap rock ) i got some stuuuuufff lemme just say ! & i plan on covering my page in visuals soon with it all

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
im a real gamer nerd ( alot of people too nowadays ) but just incase they didnt know i love weather & and science related topics too.
