Hi Kelly, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, I’m Kelly—the heart behind With Love, Kelly Events.
I’ve always had a passion for planning, decorating, and bringing people together. From a young age, I was the one setting up parties for family and friends, adding thoughtful details and creative touches to make every moment feel special. Being crafty and creative has always been my happy place, and over time, that love naturally grew into something more.
After assisting with weddings and events, I realized how much I truly loved being part of such meaningful celebrations. One day, I decided to take a leap of faith and posted in a Facebook group asking if any brides in the DFW area needed help setting up or coordinating their wedding—offering my services for whatever they felt I was worth. That simple step changed everything.
What started as a leap of faith quickly turned into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.
If it weren’t for my husband believing in me and constantly encouraging me, and for the incredible brides who trusted me—even without knowing me—I truly wouldn’t be where I am today. I am beyond grateful for every single client who has allowed me to be part of their special day.
Each wedding is so unique and personal, and getting to watch it all come together never stops feeling magical. Every event I’m a part of, I do it with love—because that’s exactly what this business was built on.
With Love, Kelly Events was created with heart, passion, and a deep understanding of the DIY bride. As a fellow DIY bride myself, I specialize in helping bring your vision to life through wedding setup and coordination. In addition, I also offer behind-the-scenes content creation, capturing all the special, candid moments that make your day unforgettable.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—and I think that’s what has shaped me the most. Starting out in this industry with a small network and not knowing many people to connect with or learn from felt lonely at times. There were moments where I had to figure everything out on my own, and that wasn’t always easy.
There have been long nights, long hours, and even wedding days where I barely had time to eat—running on pure passion and determination. I’ve worked through unpredictable weather, even being in the rain just to make sure everything came together exactly how my brides envisioned it. No matter what challenges came my way, my priority has always been making sure their day felt seamless and special.
On the harder days, I remind myself that I’m doing something meaningful. The trust my brides place in me, month after month, continues to inspire and push me forward. If they believe in me, I know I have to believe in myself too.
Every challenge has been worth it, because it’s all part of building something I truly love.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
What I do goes far beyond just coordinating weddings—I help bring my clients’ visions to life in a way that feels seamless, personal, and truly special. I specialize in day-of coordination for DIY brides, as well as behind-the-scenes content creation, capturing the real, candid moments that often go unseen but mean so much.
Going into 2026, I experienced a major turning point when I was laid off from my full-time job. What could have felt like a setback became a blessing in disguise. My husband reminded me that this was my sign to step fully into my business—and that’s exactly what I did.
One of my biggest strengths is customer service. Starting my very first job in retail taught me the importance of patience, communication, and genuinely caring for people. That foundation has carried into everything I do, and it’s a big part of why my clients trust me.
I’m often known for being “too nice” and incredibly hardworking—but to me, that just means I care deeply about every single wedding and event I’m a part of. I treat each one as if it were my own.
What I’m most proud of is building this business from the ground up, on my own, with nothing but passion, faith, and the support of those who believed in me. Every milestone means so much because I know how much heart went into getting here.
What truly sets me apart is the connection I build with my brides and clients. I’m not just their coordinator—I become their calm, their support system, and honestly, their built-in best friend on their wedding day. I’m a true “girls’ girl,” and I pour love, energy, and intention into every moment. Even after the wedding day is over, many of those connections last, and that means everything to me.
At the end of the day, this isn’t just a job—it’s something I wholeheartedly love, and I’m honored to be trusted with such meaningful moments.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
This might sound simple, but I truly have to give the most credit to my husband—he has been my number one supporter and biggest cheerleader from the very beginning. During moments of doubt or uncertainty, he constantly reminded me of my potential and encouraged me to keep going, even when things felt overwhelming.
I also have to recognize my cousin, who lives all the way in California. Despite the distance, she has been such a huge part of my journey. Our late-night FaceTime calls—especially on my drives home after long wedding days—gave me a space to reflect, process, and celebrate every moment. She never doubted me, and that kind of support means everything.
Of course, I wouldn’t be where I am without my incredible team—my assistants, my girls. They truly believe in me, my business, and the standards I’ve worked so hard to build. They show up, put in long hours, take countless steps, and represent my name with so much care and dedication. They’re not just assistants to me—they’re family.
Together, we work hard, but we also make sure to enjoy what we do. Creating a fun, positive, and supportive environment is so important to me—not just for our team, but for every couple we serve. I truly love what I do, and having such an amazing support system behind me has made this journey even more meaningful.
