Life & Work with Miguel Castellanos of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miguel Castellanos.

Hi Miguel , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in California but grew up in Tijuana Mexico until I was 8 years old. I found football in the 90s and loved the cowboys. I started dressing up and created a character called supercowboy in 2016 and started going with fans to watch the cowboys on tv. I loved to Dallas in 2019 and my character had grown to the point where the cowboys know who I am and invite me to do things with them like the nfl draft. I also called a pick at the NFL draft on stage. My popularity has helped me help my community also. I do a toy drive every year for the boys and girls club in Dallas. I also want to create a antibulling program where I go to schools dressed as supercowboy and talk to kids about not being a bully. That’s a bread summary of how I started and where I am now.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t a smooth road. I had obstacles at first the distance from Los Angeles to Dallas. Also getting to know Dallas and how to be a bigger fan here.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am most proud of my community work. I also enjoy raising money for charities and doing walks for charities.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I would like to get my podcast more known. And also start my anti bullying program.
