Today we’d like to introduce you to Toni Gary.
Hi Toni, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For a long time, I didn’t realize I was building a brand; I was simply becoming more of myself.
My journey started long before “Ms. Tee” ever had a name. I spent years working in the corporate world while also navigating my own personal growth, transitions, and self-discovery behind the scenes. Over time, I began realizing that so much of what I was passionate about; style, meaningful conversation, confidence, connection, storytelling, and community; all pointed back to one thing: helping people reconnect with themselves.
What began as a love for thrifting and personal style slowly evolved into something much deeper. I noticed that style wasn’t just about clothing for me. It was about identity, energy, confidence, and how we show up in the world. At the same time, the conversations I naturally found myself having with people were centered around perspective shifts, self-awareness, boundaries, authenticity, and growth.
Eventually, I realized my work was really about re-styling the mind, body, and soul.
The “mind” is about helping people think differently and see themselves through a healthier lens. The “body” is about how we xpress ourselves xternally through style and presence. And the “soul” is about returning to the core of who we truly are so we can move through life more intentionally and authentically.
Today, that message shows up in many forms; through my styling work, my writing, my social media content, community-centered conversations, and the e-book I’ve written, *SOUL APPAREL: Re-Styling Your Mind, Body and Soul.*
I still consider myself to be evolving, but one thing that has remained consistent is my passion for creating spaces; whether through conversation, style, or storytelling; where people feel seen, inspired, and more connected to themselves and others.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road, and I believe a lot of my purpose was born through those challenges.
There were many struggles along the way. One of the biggest struggles along the way was learning how to reconnect with myself after spending so much time operating in survival mode, pouring into others, and moving through life on autopilot. Like many people, I xperienced seasons of transition that forced me to slow down, reflect, and really ask myself who I was outside of titles, responsibilities, and other people’s xpectations.
Another challenge was giving myself permission to evolve publicly. For a long time, I viewed my interests separately; style, personal growth, meaningful conversation, writing, community-building, and confidence work. I didn’t initially realize they were all connected. It took time, self-awareness, and trust to innerstand that the things I was naturally drawn to were actually pieces of my purpose.
Professionally, there were moments where I questioned whether I should continue down the traditional corporate path or fully embrace the more purpose-driven work I felt called toward. Reinvention can be xciting, but it can also feel uncomfortable and uncertain while you’re in the middle of it.
I’ve also had to learn that authenticity requires courage. The more I began sharing my perspective, my story, and the deeper meaning behind my work, the more vulnerable it became. But I’ve learned that vulnerability is often what creates real connection.
Looking back now, I realize the struggles were shaping the message. They taught me the importance of self-awareness, boundaries, discernment, confidence, and intentional living; all things that now naturally show up in everything I do and say.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in creating xperiences, conversations, and content that help people reconnect with themselves.
While my work often shows up through personal style, writing, storytelling, and community-centered xperiences, the common thread is transformation. I help people see themselves, their circumstances, and their possibilities through a different lens.
What I’m known for most is creating spaces where people feel comfortable being transparent, reflective, and fully themselves. Whether through a conversation, a styling session, a social media post, or a community gathering, my goal is always to create meaningful connection.
What I’m most proud of is the impact those connections have. There is something powerful about watching someone gain clarity, confidence, or a new perspective that helps them move forward differently than before.
I believe what sets me apart is that I don’t see style, storytelling, personal growth, and connection as separate things. I see them as different pathways leading people back to themselves. My work is less about changing people and more about helping them uncover what was already there.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I believe happiness is a choice more than a destination.
That doesn’t mean life is always easy or that difficult seasons don’t xist. It simply means I’ve learned that happiness is often found in how we choose to xperience life, rather than waiting for everything to be perfect before allowing ourselves to feel it.
What makes me happy are meaningful conversations, genuine connection, personal growth, live music, community, family, laughter, and xperiences that remind me how beautifully different people are. I love moments that make me think, feel, reflect, or see something from a new perspective.
I’m also happiest when I’m creating space for others to feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether that happens through a conversation, a shared xperience, style, storytelling, or simply being present with someone, there’s something incredibly fulfilling about witnessing people reconnect with themselves and each other.
At this stage in my life, happiness looks a lot like alignment. It’s knowing who I am, continuing to evolve, staying curious, and being intentional about how I move through the world. I’ve learned that happiness isn’t something I find; it’s something I choose to cultivate.
