Meet Adeleke Ademuyewo of LA The Realtor in The Entire DFW Area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adeleke Ademuyewo.

Adeleke, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In the business world, I go by LA the Hardest Working Realtor. I am Nigerian American from Cincinnati, Ohio. I went to Western Kentucky University where I studied Construction Management with a minor in Industrial Science. Upon graduation, I had a number of offers in my field but I chose to turn them down because I wanted to be in Dallas. I was able to land a job as a superintendent building custom homes. I was totally independent and even paid for family expenses back home. However, I still had a desire to pursue entrepreneurship and use my abilities to connect with people. After a year of building homes and going to school I quit my salary Superintendent position and jumped into residential real estate sales with 100% commission. For the first six months, it was a struggle. I was on unemployment and I didn’t let my family know what I had going on in my life out of fear they would worry. I was struggling and truly in a sacrificial state. I joined two different companies in this six months span and honestly I was just sitting at home twirling my thumbs totally lost. I knew I would be successful even with zero sales. I refused to go back into construction and moving back to Cincinnati was not an option. Eventually, I joined my 3rd company EXP which gave me the opportunity to see the real estate sales in a new light.

In my first month, I was able to close two deals and come up with creative ways to market myself. The most significant marketing I did was standing outside of a Cowboys game with a sign “I’m not homeless I’m a realtor” that put me in front of a few thousand people at the game and it touched over 30,000 pages on Instagram alone from a cheap simple marketing stunt. Since then, I have been able to create a brand for myself as the hardest working realtor in Dallas because I’m willing to do anything to be successful and help everyone see how easily obtainable it is to be an investor and a homeowner. I go to city council meetings not only the DFW area but around the country in order to see what leading economies look like and what developments are coming. I take pride in being educated in what is coming in the area because it indicates appreciating values. I have been able to do some real estate investing of my own and it has all been an exciting journey with too many people to thank up to this point. I am continuing to grow and educate anyone that will listen about real estate.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, I’ve been to hell and back since moving to Dallas. In my decision to move, I took a major risk by hiding my plans of entrepreneurship from my family as well as my financial hardships. At a point, I completely lost everything. My credit cards were maxed and my savings were emptied. My health was poor and I had to rely on my fraternity brothers for housing. Being an entrepreneur in a new city was not easy, but I knew I had to be the first to invest in my brand, LA the Hardest Working Realtor. Through the hardships, I learned to put my pride aside and continue working hard with a bigger vision in mind. You can’t reach your goals overnight.

Please tell us about LA The Realtor.
As a realtor with EXP realty, I help my clients buy, sell, invest and lease properties. My followers and clients know me to provide informative real estate investment tips and enjoyable sales experiences. I’m proud of the team I’ve developed and the platform of support that we have generated through social media. Through my work ethic and education of the market, my clientele always experience what makes my team so effective. I take the time to educate myself by attending Economic Development and City Council meetings around the Dallas Fort Worth area multiple times in a week. This provides insight on upcoming home and land appreciation trends for the DFW area. I also am able to learn what businesses are planning on developing in a city in the DFW area. I then find creative ways to market this information with videos, interviews, and even engaging with the local population carrying with a sign to promote myself! Daily I contact potential clients with door to door interactions and cold calling. On average, I reach 1500 people a week! The work is laborious, but it is enjoyable and I pride myself on providing my clients with the best service in Dallas. I don’t just say I’m the hardest working realtor in Dallas, I know I am and I’m excited for what the future holds as LA the Hardest Working Realtor.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me is being the first person that you think of when you think real estate. First and foremost, I base my criteria on how satisfied my clients are with my work. Then I continue to have that same hunger to treat every home purchase and sale as if it were my first. In order to maintain a high-level performance I have to keep the hunger that I had when I was sleeping on couches and in my car. I’m determined to reach my goals and share my success with others. Before 30, I want to be apart of Dallas 30 under 30, have opportunities to speak publicly on real estate, and create an education program for those interested in buying, selling and investing in real estate.
