Meet Anthony Cardoso of Beautiful Illusions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Cardoso.

Hi Anthony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It started with a simple photography session, where I soon recognized I had a natural inclination. This eventually led to more sessions. With time, and the help of a friend, I started second shooting weddings. I soon learned the craft, along with the vulnerability and spontaneousness nature of these events. I felt an immediate connection to delivering the emotion of these events and their uniqueness. With every shot and edit, I was able to curate a special memory for each one of my clients. This experience led to the opportunity to start filming Quinceañeras (Sweet 15s), which have that same vulnerability, celebration and spontaneity but in a different way. No wedding or Quinceañera is ever the same, every client, their family, and event energy is different. I am excited to celebrate and commemorate these big moments for each of my clients through beautiful memories that are unique to them and their special day.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There were many learning curves along the way. Ultimately, repetition, time, and making a personal connection with each one of my clients and their events has made the difference, along with building trust and good relationships with other professionals. The repetition aspect has provided me confidence and the ability to improve with every event or session. And time has helped provide the space to grow, reflect and own the experience and quality that I bring.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Beautiful Illusions?
