Meet Aubrey Shine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aubrey Shine.

Aubrey Shine was born in Hot Springs and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she went to J.A. Fair Systems & Technology Magnet High School. She found her love in music as a child singing in the church choir and choir competitions with her school. She found her love for broadcast journalism in college while attending Arkansas State University-Jonesboro and in true Taurus fashion, (Born Day May 1st), she stayed loyal to her loves and decided to pursue them both as an artist and an On-Air Personality. While recording music, Aubrey Shine began her On-Air career with Perry Publishing and Broadcasting with her weekend show “The Day Party” at 105.3 KJAMZ in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This happened shortly after starting a podcast called “The Shake Up” and having a Live, on-air audition to be a new personality, Amidst her first anniversary on air with KJAMZ, she took her show to the Midday from 10 am-2pm, calling it “The Midday Party”. She gives a Global Spotlight, Today in History, Question of the Day, all of the hottest old school sounds can be heard in the noon hour during, The Back in the Day Buffet, and plenty of Celebrity Tea is spilled during Tea Time with Aubrey Shine.

Acting and modeling are apart of her current journey. Aubrey Shine is a featured model in the Atlanta Black Film Festival’s Fashion Show this year. She utilizes her acting muscle doing skits that can be found on her YouTube channel. Producing quality shows, news media outlets and auditioning for upcoming roles are now the new normal for Aubrey Shine.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Finding my voice has definitely been a challenge. But once I got into my groove and figured out what my true passions were it was like a volcano erupted and the Earth started shaking. I’ve been blessed with opportunities to be in the right places. My name has been mentioned in rooms that I haven’t even walked into yet and I’m grateful for every ounce of love.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m known for being an On-Air Personality, singer, songwriter, model and actress. I’m most proud of myself for taking a true leap of faith and going full force into the entertainment business. I created a lane for myself and doing well in it thus far. This is solely how I provide for my family. What sets me apart from others is that “I will go down with the ship”, when I believe in a cause I will go hard to see it come to fruition. Thus far, my crazy faith hasn’t failed me yet.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I definitely would have gone to an HBCU and completed all four years there. I still would be in this field just in a different capacity, market, etcetera. If I could do it over, my crazy faith would’ve been activated back then. But everything happens for a reason. I feel that every trial, tribulation and lesson I’ve learned has given me the experiences to assist others not to make my same errors. One of the biggest lessons learned, other peoples’ opinions have nothing to do with me.
