Meet Beth Watson of Crowned Lifestyle in Mckinney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Watson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Beth. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Encouraging others and helping their inner and outer beauty shine has been my passion since I was a little girl. In high school, I had my own clothing line – I have ALWAYS loved fashion, beauty, and helping others. During my teenage years, I got off course and my sense of purpose was blurred. For three years, I lived a lifestyle that left me feeling beaten down, abused, and empty. I would not stay down for long, though! I knew I was called for more and that God had big plans for my life if I would allow my heartache to help others. My stumbling blocks became my stepping stones!

By the age of 22, I had three beautiful children and was a single mother with a vision to help other women and impact the lives of others using my story as encouragement for them. I decided to go to cosmetology school so I could channel my passion for beauty, combined with encouraging others! I wanted to help men and women know their true beauty from the inside out! What a better avenue than having one on one time with clients in my chair at the salon!?

Before graduating, I had already secured my spot at a top salon in Collin County. I trained and worked and then not long after I began working for myself! I now operate under the name Crowned Lifestyle. My whole vision with the Crowned brand is to help women and men see their true value, look and feel like the royalty that they are, and help them be their personal best (while having great hair, of course!).

My salon directly feeds into donating to nonprofits that fight human sex trafficking. I am a thriving survivor of trauma in this area and want to give back in the area that God brought me out of! From every service, a percentage is donated to Colors of Hope, Kings Gate Ranch. I would absolutely LOVE to meet you and have a chance to help you achieve your hair goals as well as encourage the beautiful human being that you already are!

Has it been a smooth road?
I would love to say this has been a smooth road, but that would totally be an understatement! Being a single mother, owning my own business, and pursuing my dreams has not been easy by any means! There have been times when I had to face fear, learn from mistakes, and take risks! I do not regret any season of my journey, however! I have grown and learned from each obstacle. The main thing, though, is that I haven’t given up and that I’m better than the day before! I know we all will face challenges in life – in our families, our personal walks, our careers, etc. but as long as we recognize our struggles and work to overcome them, then we are winning!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Crowned Lifestyle story. Tell us more about the business.
Crowned Lifestyle is first and foremost a hair salon but it is also a lifestyle brand! My ultimate goal is to help women and men look and feel their personal best. Every individual is fearfully and wonderfully made and should walk in the royalty that they were created to be! I absolutely love doing hair. I am a blonde specialist but enjoy doing all the color services! I do color, cutting, Brazilian Blowouts, wedding hair, styling, and treatments!

One thing that makes me business stand out is that from each service, a percentage is donated to nonprofits that fight against human sex trafficking. Being that I am a survivor of abuse, I want to help in the area that tried to defeat me! I love what I do and I am excited to share my passion with you.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, I plan on growing my Crowned Lifestyle brand. I will, of course, be continuing to do hair. I will also be adding in fitness, motivation, and spiritual growth. Living a Crowned Lifestyle is all about looking, feeling, and being your personal best! I want my company to help individuals in every area of their life. I plan on owning my own salon one day. My salon will be a vessel to donate to nonprofits and will be a safe and encouraging place for women and men both to come and be pampered and encouraged!
