Meet Bianca Tucker of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca Tucker.

Hi Bianca, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Valley Wings was born out of a dream to bring our family back together. At the time, my husband was playing professional basketball overseas, and while we were grateful for the opportunity, it meant I was home raising our children and managing everything on my own. We knew we wanted to build something that would allow him to come home permanently and still provide for our family.

Before opening our own location, I worked as a cashier at our family’s Valley Wings restaurant in Phoenix. That experience gave me a firsthand understanding of the business, from serving customers and learning daily operations to seeing what it takes to run a successful restaurant. It gave me the confidence to believe we could do it ourselves.

Taking the leap into business ownership wasn’t easy, but we believed in the vision. We’ve experienced challenges, setbacks, and plenty of long days, but we’ve also experienced incredible blessings. Every customer who walks through our doors has become a part of our story, and we’re grateful for the support our community has shown us.

Today, Valley Wings is more than just a restaurant to us, it’s the reason our family gets to be together every day. It’s a place built on faith, hard work, and the belief that when you bet on your family and never give up, amazing things can happen. As we continue to grow and expand, our mission remains the same: serve great food, create memorable experiences, and build something our children can one day be proud of

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. Like most small businesses, our journey has come with its share of challenges. In the beginning, we were learning how to balance being business owners while still being parents and spouses. There were long days, financial risks, and plenty of moments where we had to figure things out as we went.

One of our biggest challenges came when our restaurant had to close temporarily after a neighboring business caught fire. Being forced to shut down was incredibly difficult, but it also reminded us how resilient we are. We leaned on our faith, stayed committed to our vision, and worked hard to reopen stronger than before.

We’ve also learned that running a successful business is about much more than serving great food. It’s about building the right team, creating systems, listening to customers, and being willing to adapt. Every obstacle has taught us something valuable, and those lessons have shaped Valley Wings into what it is today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Valley Wings, we specialize in serving high quality food with exceptional customer service. While we’re known for our flavorful wings and signature sauces, what we’re really passionate about is creating an experience where every customer feels welcomed, valued, and leaves wanting to come back.

One thing that surprises many people is that while helping run and grow Valley Wings, I also work full-time in Human Resources at JPMorgan Chase. Balancing a full-time corporate career with entrepreneurship isn’t always easy, but it’s taught me discipline, leadership, and the importance of building strong teams. Many of the skills I’ve developed in HR, hiring, coaching, developing people, and creating positive workplace cultures, have helped shape how we operate our business.

As owners, my husband and I are involved in every aspect of Valley Wings, from developing new menu items and training our staff to ensuring every guest has a great experience. We don’t just own the business, we live it every day.

What I’m most proud of is what Valley Wings represents for our family. We started this business so my husband could come home from playing professional basketball overseas, and today it’s become much more than a restaurant. It’s a family business built on faith, sacrifice, and hard work that allows us to serve our community while creating a legacy for our children.

What sets us apart is that we genuinely care. We listen to our customers, hold ourselves accountable, and are always looking for ways to improve. We believe great food gets people in the door, but exceptional service, consistency, and authentic relationships are what keep them coming back. At Valley Wings, every customer is treated like family, and that’s something we’ll never compromise.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
If there’s one thing we’d like people to take away from our story, it’s that you don’t have to have everything figured out to chase your dreams. Our journey has been built on faith, hard work, and a willingness to keep going even when things got difficult.

We’re incredibly grateful for every customer who has supported us, shared our story, and believed in what we’re building. Valley Wings is more than a restaurant, it’s a reflection of our family’s journey, our values, and our commitment to serving our community with excellence.

As we continue to grow, our goal is to create opportunities for others, give back to the communities that have supported us, and build a legacy our children can be proud of. This is only the beginning, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
