From my first beauty inspirations, to the looks I gravitate towards today, big hair has been something that always has a place in my heart. The women in my family proudly wore big hair so much that I just thought that’s how a woman’s hair should always be. As life progressed, and I entered the beauty industry, I started to envision my version of a new, modernized “Big Texas Hair” that we are known for around the world.
From beauty school, to assisting, to working behind the chair, I consider every day a learning experience. I continuously attend advanced education from master academies to continuously fine tune my services for the clients we serve. I also maintain networks and am part of industry haircare brands to hear from and work with other leaders in the business. Being a part of New York Fashion Week for now 6 seasons is something that I think helps fine tune my artistry, as well as get an insight on future trends as the concepts walk down the runway.
Today, I am pouring my heart and soul into Bigger Better Hair, a salon that I can help spread my vision of the modernized “Big Texas Hair” through my craft behind the chair, as well as with stylists as our team grows.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As the saying goes, “nothing worth having comes easy.” Our route has been a constant state of learning, struggling, perseverance, and persistence. The hard work, long hours, and struggles are actually what I am most proud of. Each day is a new learning experience, so there is never time to be bored.

Bigger Better Hair is not just our salon’s name, it is our founding focus and promise to all clients. Using all of the tools available in today’s market, we utilize salon installed hair extensions, clip-in extensions, toppers, wigs, hair color, and traditional hair care and styling. We continuously educate in the latest brands, techniques, and technologies to maintain a high level of service for our clients. Helping people love their hair is something we are passionate about, and keeps our inspiration as the ever-changing beauty industry evolves.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Growing Bigger Better Hair is my primary focus at the moment.
