Meet Brianna Embery of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Embery.

Hi Brianna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Sports have always been at the center of who I am, but over time I realized my passion wasn’t just for the game itself, it was for the people behind it. My journey started through hands-on experience in sports operations, player engagement and development, event coordination, and sports marketing, where I had the opportunity to support athletes, create experiences, and understand the inner workings of sports organizations from multiple angles.

Working in player engagement and development especially helped shape my perspective. I saw firsthand how important it is for athletes to feel supported not only professionally, but personally and mentally as well. I became passionate about creating environments and experiences that help athletes feel connected, empowered, and positioned for long-term success beyond just performance on the court or field. At the same time, my experience in sports marketing taught me how to build community, tell meaningful stories, strengthen fan and player relationships, and create impactful experiences that bring people together.

As I continued growing professionally, I also recognized a gap for women within sports spaces. So many women loved sports, worked in sports, or wanted to break into the industry, but often lacked spaces that felt genuinely welcoming, intentional, and community-driven outside of traditional networking environments. That realization is what led me to create Her Huddle Social Club.

Her Huddle Social Club is a women-centered community rooted in sports, culture, and connection. Unlike traditional professional organizations, Her Huddle prioritizes experiential engagement, authentic networking, and accessible entry points for women at every stage of their journey; whether they work in sports, aspire to, or simply love the game. Through watch parties, game days, panels, community service, and curated social experiences, Her Huddle creates intentional spaces where women can build relationships, exchange resources, and grow together without pressure or hierarchy. The mission is simple: community over competition, connection with purpose, and showing up fully as yourself.

Everything I’ve done so far has prepared me for where I want to go next. My long-term goal is to continue growing within team operations and athlete representation, where I can combine relationship management, strategic operations, player development, and advocacy to make a meaningful impact in athletes’ careers and overall experiences. I’m passionate about being someone athletes and organizations can trust, someone who understands both the business side of sports and the human side of it as well.

Today, I’m continuing to build at the intersection of sports, leadership, athlete support, and community impact while staying committed to creating spaces and opportunities that genuinely make people feel seen, supported, and connected.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but I think that’s what has made the journey meaningful and shaped me into who I am today.

One of the biggest struggles has been comparison, looking at other people’s career paths and wondering if I was falling behind or doing something wrong because my journey didn’t look like theirs. In sports, there really isn’t one blueprint for success. So much of the industry is built on relationships, timing, networking events, conferences, game days, and simply being in the right rooms consistently. Watching others land opportunities in ways that seemed easier sometimes made me question my own path.

Another challenge was facing multiple rounds of interviews, applications, and rejection. There were seasons where I heard “no” far more than I heard “yes,” and after a while, that can really impact your confidence if you let it. I started doubting myself and wondering if I was truly good enough for the spaces I was trying to enter. At the same time, I also struggled with the lack of mentorship and guidance. Breaking into sports can feel difficult when you don’t always have access to people willing to show you the behind-the-scenes realities or help you navigate the industry strategically.

I’ve also spent a lot of time wrestling with how to turn my ideas, skills, and vision into something sustainable and impactful on my own terms. I constantly think about how I can create innovative ways to support athletes and build community in spaces that still feel unsaturated and underserved. Even now, I’m still refining and revising that vision while learning to trust myself more in the process.

What’s carried me through all of it is resilience, faith, and the support of people who saw potential in me even during moments when I struggled to see it in myself. I remind myself often that I’m doing something that many people around me haven’t done before, so naturally the path won’t always feel clear or comfortable. But every challenge has strengthened my confidence, my perspective, and my determination. I truly believe I’m built with fortitude and wrapped in resilience, and even on difficult days, I know the only direction left to go is forward.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in creating meaningful experiences and relationship-driven spaces at the intersection of sports, community, athlete engagement, and culture. My background includes player engagement and development, sports marketing, event coordination, community-building, and operations, all of which have helped shape the way I approach both professional and social impact within sports.

A large part of my work centers around connection, whether that’s supporting athletes, building community experiences, strengthening engagement, or creating environments where people feel welcomed, valued, and seen. I’ve always been drawn to the human side of sports just as much as the business side. I genuinely enjoy bringing people together, helping others feel supported, and creating experiences that leave a lasting impact.

I’m also the founder of Her Huddle Social Club, a women-centered community rooted in sports, culture, and connection. Through curated events, watch parties, panels, game days, community service initiatives, and intentional networking experiences, Her Huddle creates accessible spaces for women who work in sports, aspire to work in sports, or simply love the game. One thing I’m especially proud of is building a community that prioritizes authenticity over exclusivity and connection over competition. Seeing women form genuine friendships, professional relationships, and support systems through something I created has been incredibly fulfilling.

What sets me apart is my ability to blend strategy, emotional intelligence, creativity, and community-building into everything I do. I naturally lead with intention and empathy, which allows me to connect with people in a genuine way while still understanding operational and organizational needs behind the scenes. I’m not only focused on what looks good externally, I care deeply about how people experience spaces, opportunities, and relationships internally as well.

I’m most proud of my resilience and willingness to keep building despite uncertainty. A lot of what I’m pursuing hasn’t come with a clear blueprint, and I’ve had to create opportunities, trust my instincts, and remain consistent even when the process felt difficult. Every challenge has pushed me to grow stronger, more intentional, and more confident in the vision I’m building. I’m proud that I’ve stayed committed to creating impact in ways that feel authentic to me while continuing to evolve both personally and professionally.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is God, family, peace, and purpose.

My faith is the foundation for everything I do. It keeps me grounded, gives me strength during uncertain seasons, and reminds me that my journey is bigger than temporary setbacks or delays. There have been moments where things didn’t go the way I planned professionally or personally, and leaning on God has helped me stay resilient, trust the process, and continue moving forward with faith instead of fear.

Family matters deeply to me because they’ve been a source of love, motivation, and perspective throughout my journey. No matter how demanding life or career goals become, having people who genuinely support and believe in you makes all the difference. They remind me who I am outside of accomplishments and keep me connected to what truly matters.

Peace has become something I intentionally protect. As someone who is ambitious and constantly building, I’ve learned that success means very little if it costs your mental, emotional, or spiritual well-being. I value environments, relationships, and opportunities that align with who I am and allow me to grow without constantly operating from stress, pressure, or burnout. Peace gives me clarity, balance, and the ability to show up fully in every area of my life.

Purpose is also incredibly important to me. I don’t just want to succeed for myself, I want the work I do to genuinely impact people. Whether through athlete engagement, community-building, mentorship, or Her Huddle Social Club, I want people to feel seen, connected, supported, and inspired when they encounter anything I create. Knowing that I’m building something meaningful and helping others along the way is what keeps me motivated.

At the core of everything, I value authenticity, intentional relationships, and creating a life that feels aligned — not just impressive from the outside, but fulfilling internally as well.
