Meet Brittney Jackson of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Jackson.

Hi Brittney, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always considered myself a bit of a jack of all trades. I’ve always been creative and loved learning different skills, but two things have always stuck with me—baking and beauty. I started baking when I was around 9 or 10 years old, spending time in the kitchen and learning through trial and error. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion, and over the years I fell in love with creating treats that bring people joy and help make special moments even more memorable.

As for esthetics, I’ve always loved the beauty industry because I enjoy helping people feel confident and good about themselves. There’s something so rewarding about seeing someone walk in one way and leave feeling refreshed, empowered, and glowing. I love the transformation aspect, not just physically, but emotionally too. Whether it’s through skincare, makeup, or a relaxing service, I enjoy creating experiences that make people feel seen and cared for.

Today, I’m fortunate enough to combine both of my passions through my businesses. Whether I’m creating custom desserts or helping clients achieve their skincare goals, my goal is always the same: to make people smile, boost their confidence, and create something meaningful.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had days where I dealt with creative blocks and just felt stuck, like nothing I was creating was good enough or coming together the way I wanted. I’ve also had slow seasons in my business where things weren’t coming in the way I expected, and in those moments it’s easy to feel discouraged.

But I’ve learned that growth isn’t always consistent it comes in waves. I’ve had to remind myself why I started and push through even when motivation wasn’t there. Every setback has taught me something, whether it’s how to improve my craft, be more patient, or trust the process a little more.

What keeps me going is my passion for what I do. I genuinely love baking and esthetics, and I know that as long as I stay consistent and don’t give up, things will continue to grow even if it takes time.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear a few different hats creatively, but everything I do comes down to one thing making people feel good. In my esthetics work, I specialize in facials, makeup, and full body waxing. I love helping clients feel confident in their skin, whether that’s through a relaxing facial, a soft glam makeup look, or smooth, clean results from waxing services.

On the other side, I’m also a baker, creating custom cakes and treats for all types of occasions. I enjoy bringing people’s ideas to life through edible art and being part of their special moments in a meaningful way.

What I’m most proud of is the gift I have to create. Whether it’s beauty or baking, I’ve always had a natural ability to take an idea and turn it into something beautiful and personal. I think what sets me apart is that I don’t just provide a service I focus on the experience. I want every client and every order to feel intentional, thoughtful, and made with care from start to finish.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like most about my city is that there’s a lot of opportunity here. It feels like a place where you can really build something for yourself if you stay consistent and put in the work. I also love that there’s a diverse community and a growing appreciation for small businesses and creatives like myself. It gives me space to grow both my esthetics and baking businesses.

What I like least is that sometimes it can feel a little competitive and saturated, which can make it challenging to stand out. And at times, I feel like certain areas could have more support or resources for small business owners. But even with that, it pushes me to stay creative, stay consistent, and keep improving my craft.
