Today we’d like to introduce you to Carla Rosenberg.
Carla, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It’s definitely been an exciting journey…I still am continuously inspired, challenged and passionate about what I get to do on a daily basis.
I actually always wanted to win Wimbledon and find a cure for a disease to help others. While I didn’t quite get the chance to serve and volley at Wimbledon, or get a PHD, I have found a career that has allowed me to stay involved with sports and do meaningful work in a creative and impactful way.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?Running Matchpoint, I’m getting an amazing lesson and constantly being stretched in ways I never thought possible.
The biggest challenge is learning how to scale the business and having the right people/team in place to consistently execute with excellence.
I firmly believe that playing competitive tennis, growing up in South Africa, having a supportive family, and being fortunate to have incredible people in my life during my formative years has shaped the way I conduct my life and business. I also think the tangibles that come through playing athletics stay with you.
Matchpoint Agency – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We work with athlete foundations, nonprofit organizations, sports teams, and high profile clients to help manage their charities and execute all aspects of events from intimate to large-scale celebrity functions.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My time working at the Dallas Stars. It was a fantastic work environment, I was given the opportunity to learn and grow, the exposure to incredible experiences, events and people that have impacted my life in a profound way.
