Meet Chris Colburn of Verdei Properties

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Colburn.

Chris, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My brother and I have been in the real estate world for most of our lives.

As teenagers we helped remodel kitchens, put up drywall, and learn the meaning of a “live” wire while helping our family flip houses. While in college we watched our family grow their rental properties from 2 to 10 and then to over 100 doors.

After college, we took different directions into the tech world working in Silicon Valley and internationally. But every time we watched our family and friend’s real estate investments grow we heard them continue to ask “who do we trust to manage our properties?”.

This question helped my brother and I to decide to start Verdei Properties. We founded the company to not only be a place where real estate investors will trust their property is being managed properly but to be a management company that works to help a real estate investor’s portfolio to grow.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Growing any company is usually never a smooth road. One of the first challenges we faced it getting real estate investors to believe we answer their management needs.

Verdei Properties has been fortunate to not only gain the trust of the clients that we work with but to also have them actively help us grow.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Verdei Properties – what should we know?
Verdei Properties is a property management company that focuses on helping investors grow their residential and commercial property portfolio.

We have grown the company to provide real estate investors with ways to save money and grow their investments.

It might seem odd but one of the things that sets apart from others and what we are most proud of is our open line of communication with our clients and tenants. When you have questions about your property, especially if you are based outside of the US, you don’t want to wait two or more days for an answer. We work hard to not only answer any question but find the correct solution for any issue.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
What has helped Verdei Properties succeed is our love for problem solving. No matter how much you prepare there will always be a new issue that you have never encountered before. We embrace these challenges and enjoying learning new ways to solve different problems that might arise.

Pricing:

  • Flat Management Fee: $95 per month for single-family homes / $85 per month for multi-family (2-4 units) / $75 per month for multi-family (5+ units)
