Meet Danny Marquez of Glass Gleam Window Cleaning

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danny Marquez.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Danny. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
When I was only 17 a friend of mine cleaned windows for a living and seemed to be doing really well. I asked him if he’d show me the business and started working with him right away. I worked with him for one year and then decided I was ready to start my own company. I started doing only residential. I was hesitant at first since I was only 18 I figured no one would want to hire me. The first years were slow but it soon took off and I do well now I even do lots of commercial work.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I first started on my own I was only 18 years old. I thought no one is going to want to let a young Hispanic man into their million dollar homes. But I remembered the words my grandfather told me. “Just cause that man has a suit on that doesn’t make him any better than you.” And with those words, I pushed forward.

Please tell us about Glass Gleam Window Cleaning.
Glass Gleam Window Cleaning offers interior and exterior window cleaning. We clean blinds, ceiling fans, light fixtures, chandeliers, and gas lanterns. We also clean gutters and offer power washing. What sets Glass Gleam apart from the other cleaners is we take our time to make the sunshine brighter through each window using only the best window cleaning formulas and rain repellent.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My grandfather picking me up on weekends to take me to Whataburger and teaching me how to drive.
