Meet Demarkus Drumwright of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Demarkus Drumwright.

Hi Demarkus, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started cutting hair in 2015 , got my license 2016-2017 , cutting hair wasn’t a life long dream of mine but I needed a foundation to start and open the doors of oppurtunity . Getting my barbers license did exactly that , but also built a base foundation for networking and other opportunities. One of the best things I ever did was getting my master barbers license , because now I can travel all over but I also hold an active license in Texas by getting my license in Tennessee. It also creates a recession proof business because people need a haircut no matter the sex and / or ethnicity. It created an opportunity to open / start other businesses , which for me led to breeding dogs ( Frenchies ) , I bought vending machines and had them in locations , I also had my shop where I was able to rent suites to other barbers, stylist , entrepreneurs , etc. and investing in stocks – options , as well as my clothing brand which I have built , a faith based brand , and etc. I am very intelligent and intuitive , I think outside the box and deeper than the surface level .The best thing I could do is continue to invest and network to continue grow and spread who I am and what I represent. It allowed me to move to Dallas and expand but also network to greater possibilities. I am forever grateful because the sky is never the limit if you continue to prosper and grow , you have to faith and walk by it, really believe it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing worth working for comes without sacrifice, nothing is given and everyhthing is earned, the road less traveled is always bumpy with more obstacles but the journey is what makes it worth it. We tend to give up when it gets tough not realizing that God gave us everything we needed to succeed, but we gotta be grateful for the life we have been given and maximize every opportunity.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an entrepreneur, I do have my master barbers license , in two states , Texas and Tennessee. Im most proud of how far I’ve come through all obstacles that have come my way I kept going, didn’t give up and want to prevail. I don’t think I’m to different from the next person , I am 1 0f 1 but my god made me that way but I do believe that if anyone maximizes their potential anything is possible if you believe.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Do onto others as you want done onto you and be a blessing to receive a blessing, Life is about the legacy and how you impacted others , no one will remember you for the money or the lamb , they will remember it was nice but a legacy Is an impact on someones life that last a life time.
