Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie White founder of Fiorire Clothing.
Eddie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m originally from the Southside of Chicago. I had made the decision to move to the Dallas area about three years ago. I felt myself being stagnant back home. It’s like as soon as I got out here, my life started to flourish. So I wanted to represent that in every way. Fiorire which is the Italian translation for the word flourish represents thriving, prospering and growing and I based my clothing line off of that. Representing starting from nothing and blossoming into something beautiful, which is why my logo consists of a butterfly. We are all trying to prosper, flourish and thrive in life itself and we should look the part.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes, there has been many challenges I’ve overcome from dropping everything moving here to raising my three daughters on my own who I have custody of. I use them to push me and drive me towards being great. I’ve dealt with closed doors and missed opportunities, but I never give up. I put my all in my business. Blood, sweat and tears and many sleepless nights trying to make my dream come true.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Fiorire Clothing story. Tell us more about the business.
My business is fully cut and sewn. Not your basic t-shirt company all fabrics are imported from Italy and manufactured. Our unique name and design separate us from the rest. It’s not just wearing a brand. It’s wearing something way more symbolic. You’re stepping outside everyday with it on like this is how I’m facing the world and everyday and I will prosper.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I’ve been extremely lucky! Coming from where I’m from, I would be dead or in jail. I’ve had the luck of having a wonderful support system in my family and friends. Whom most of them see the vision I have and try to support me in all ways possible.
