Today we’d like to introduce you to Endia Thomas Patterson.
Hi Endia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a Los Angeles native who took a leap of faith and moved my life to Dallas on March 11, 2021. Just four days later, I started esthetician school on March 15th, fully committed to a new chapter in my life. After graduating, I officially opened the doors to my very own spa in October 2023.
Helping others has always been my heart’s work. Before esthetics, I spent six years working with special needs children, specifically in the deaf and hard of hearing community. That experience taught me the power of patience, empathy, and connection—qualities that now shape the way I care for my clients.
Outside of work, I also made a name for myself as a natural hair influencer, inspiring thousands to embrace the beauty of their curls. I’ll never forget when my stylist back in LA told me my photo was her most requested reference image—something that still means so much to me.
Transitioning into entrepreneurship and starting a spa in a new city hasn’t been without its challenges, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. In under two years, I’ve grown over 100 five-star Google reviews, built lasting relationships with clients, and created a space that feels like home for those who walk through my doors.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth. One of the biggest challenges has been feeling homesick, being over 1,000 miles away from my parents and the rest of my family can leave a void at times. I deeply miss the comfort of home, but my Golden Soul clients have truly become my space of community and connection.
Another personal challenge has been finding my place in a city where I started off as a complete stranger. and building up my clientele. It’s pushed me out of my comfort zone in ways I wasn’t expecting, especially as someone who can be naturally shy. Learning how to network, market myself, and grow a business from the ground up without a big support system nearby has tested me—but also grown me .I also found myself battling imposter syndrome and truthfully, sometimes I still do. But instead of letting it hold me back, I choose to see other people’s journeys as inspiration for what’s possible in this beauty industry, not as competition.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a licensed esthetician and Owner/ CEO of Golden Soul Esthetics, a luxurious facial studio located in Prosper, Texas. I specialize in customized facials, corrective chemical peels and brow services. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where every client regardless of gender or background can feel seen, cared for, and confident in their skin.
I’m most proud of the impact I’ve made in such a short amount of time. In under two years, I’ve built a five-star rated business with over 100 glowing Google reviews. More than just skincare, I’ve built real relationships. My clients often say they come to me for the results, but stay for the experience.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend results-driven skincare with soulful, personalized care. I don’t just treat the skin—I listen, educate, and uplift. Every service is tailored to my client’s lifestyle, skin goals, and even their emotional state. I also have a background in working with the special needs community and a history as a natural hair influencer, which gives me a deeper understanding of inclusion, communication, and representation in the beauty industry.
Golden Soul Esthetics is more than a facial studio—it’s a space where skincare with soul, love and intention meet.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are so many meaningful ways to connect with and support what I do! If you’re in the Prosper/Dallas area, you can book a facial, Brazilian wax, brow service, or chemical peel with me at Golden Soul Esthetics in Prosper, TX. I love welcoming new clients into the space I’ve created for healing, relaxation, and results.
For brands or fellow professionals interested in collaborating, I’m always open to working together on events, or content that align with beauty, wellness, and empowerment. I also offer mentorship calls for upcoming esthetician students who need guidance and encouragement while navigating school or starting their businesses.
