Cleaning Service is an insured and bonded cleaning company. This company cleans both residential and commercial properties in the Dallas Metroplex since its beginning. We tailor our services to fit the needs of each our clients.
Vickey was born, raised and educated in New Orleans, Louisiana where she received her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Dillard University. She was a civil servant for a total of twenty-eight years working first for Charity Hospital and then the City of New Orleans’ Health Department. While working for the city, Vickey became a registered licensed Sanitarian (inspecting for cleanliness in various facilities and protect of Health for the public) and the Director for Lead Department.
A native of New Orleans, Louisiana Gilda is a breast cancer and Katrina survivor and an avid advocate of green and natural cleaning products and methods. She received her Bachelor’s degree in business from University of Phoenix. She is also an animal lover and enjoys creating a clean healthy environment for all members of the household.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We have experienced a great deal of challenges. First of all is cash flow. We decided in our earliest stages of the business not to borrow money. This decision has served us very well. We have encountered numerous clients with a myriad of problems that trickle down to us. For example, a client family member got sick and she suspended service for a while. This will affect our bottom line.
Marketing strategy – we have placed ads in magazines, newspapers, and other sources. This has yielded no monies or very little money. We are a small based business at this time. Therefore, we wear several different hats to make our business work. The down side of this we currently do not have an administrative staff to constantly keep our presence online and for the different social media networks. We would love to outsource it to pay the administrative person.
We diligently keep our eyes on the money we have. However, we have not found any one source that brings in the big bucks and repeat customers.
We are not a just cleaning. Our company has other services that we would love to provide to our clients like pet sitting. We feel the animal is already familiar with us by coming into their home on a regular basis. We also provide cleaning for parties. We have not had too many offers for these services. We are currently seeking more customers at this time. Our prices are comparable to other cleaning companies.

What sets us apart from other cleaning companies we are very dependable and loyal to our customers. We take pride in what we do. We do not tolerate anyone stealing anything. In our 12 years of being in business, there has never been a concern with anything missing or stolen. We value each of our client’s privacy and never discuss what happens in someone’s home or office.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
This is a very competitive business. Perhaps we would have chosen a food business. For example, catering New Orleans cuisine.
