Hi Haya , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
matcha haús started from a love for creating experiences that feel intentional, calming, and aesthetically inspiring. What began as a personal passion for matcha, wellness, and beautifully curated spaces slowly evolved into something we wanted to share with others.

We noticed that so many cafés focused only on the drink itself, but for us, it was always about the feeling too, slowing down, connecting with people, and creating moments that feel elevated yet comforting. From experimenting with recipes and sourcing high-quality matcha to designing the visual identity and pop-up experience, every part of matcha haús has been built with care and creativity.

As we continued growing, we began blending our love for wellness, community, and hospitality into events and collaborations, creating spaces where people can enjoy not just drinks, but an atmosphere that feels memorable and refreshing. We’re still at the beginning of our journey, but our goal has always stayed the same: to create experiences that feel thoughtful, beautiful, and genuine.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Since matcha haús is something we built from passion and creativity, a lot of the process has involved learning as we go. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing the creative vision with the business side, from sourcing quality ingredients and managing costs to planning events and building a brand that feels authentic.

Starting something from the ground up also comes with uncertainty. There were moments where we questioned ideas, adjusted concepts, or had to be patient while growing our audience and community. Another challenge has been creating experiences that feel elevated and intentional while still staying accessible and manageable as a growing brand.

At the same time, those challenges have pushed us to become more creative, adaptable, and clear about what we want matcha haús to represent. Every obstacle has helped shape the brand into something more thoughtful and meaningful.

We’ve been impressed with matcha haús, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
matcha haús is a wellness-driven beverage and experience brand built around intentional living, aesthetics, and community. We specialize in handcrafted matcha and coffee drinks, designed with a focus on quality ingredients, balanced flavor profiles, and thoughtful presentation.

Beyond beverages, our work extends into curated pop-ups and events that merge café culture with wellness experiences. These events are designed to feel calm, minimal, and elevated, giving guests a space to slow down, connect, and enjoy something more meaningful than a typical café visit.

What we’re known for is our attention to detail and the overall atmosphere we create. From drink development to visual styling and event design, everything is intentional. We aim to make each experience feel cohesive, not just something you drink, but something you feel.

What sets matcha haús apart is that we approach our brand as a full sensory experience rather than just a beverage concept. We combine wellness, design, and hospitality in a way that feels modern but still warm and approachable. Something most people might not realize about matcha haús is how much behind-the-scenes testing and refinement goes into every part of what we do. Even though we operate as a mobile matcha cart, a lot of time goes into perfecting drink recipes, streamlining service, and making sure everything feels smooth and intentional during events. What looks simple in execution is actually carefully planned so we can deliver consistent quality in a fast-moving setup.

Another thing people might not know is how hands-on we are with every detail — from sourcing ingredients and developing seasonal drink ideas to planning how we set up and operate efficiently at each pop-up. Because we’re mobile, adaptability is a huge part of our process, and we’re constantly adjusting and improving based on each event.

What we’re most surprised by ourselves is how much creativity can exist within something as compact as a cart. Even without a physical café space, we’ve been able to build a recognizable brand experience through our drinks, presentation, and the way we show up at each event.
