Meet Jade Tinner of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Tinner.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am originally from Canyon, TX and was blessed with the opportunity to move to Kansas City, MO to play Division I basketball for the University of Missouri Kansas City. While at UMKC, I gained lifelong friendships with my teammates, earned a BBA in marketing and served the community by holding offices in campus organizations. Those were some of the best years of my life (so far) and have helped to prepare me for all that life has in store for me.

Prior to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(R) Fort Worth, TX, I spent my time as a professional athlete and the Marketing Director of the WBCBL. I was able to continue to play and manage all of my responsibilities remotely, as the WBCBL headquarters are located in Richardson, TX. After a knee injury in 2015, I decided to focus on my career and moved back to Texas in 2016. Best decision by far! After several months of being hands-on with the WBCBL, I decided I wanted to try something else (mostly because I missed playing basketball.) That is how I stumbled upon TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(R).

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth? I’m not sure if I know what that word even means. Where is the fun in smooth? The struggles make everything much better. Prior to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(R), there was a 6 month period of unemployment for me. It was hard and at times I wanted to give up. Always asking the question “why me?” Until one day I set down and figured out why me. I had to become self-aware of what I was doing and change those things. I grew in my faith and knew that God had more in store for me. Patience is a virtue (one I did not have.)

The world has a way of making you humble yourself. When I felt like I was at the end of the road, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(R) picked me up (pun intended!) I could not have found a more perfect position for myself with a company that truly believes and stands on its core purpose of “Moving People Forward(R).”

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(R) – what should we know?

I think what sets me apart from other marketers is the fact that I am truly a “people person!” My goal when networking, presenting, or meeting people is to put a smile on someone’s face. If I do that once a day then I know I am doing a job well done. I’m actually really funny, you probably can’t tell since this is a magazine article.
