Valor Mineral Management was founded by Clifton DuBose and Joseph DeWoody to address a need in the oil and gas mineral rights market. There are a lot of owners of fractional mineral rights and royalties that need back office help properly managing their assets. Mineral rights are a complex asset to own and having an experienced team of professional’s help manage these assets is a great benefit. Valor provides business process outsourcing to individuals, trusts, estates, banks, corporations, universities, churches, and investment funds.
We are staffed by multi-generational owners of mineral rights that also are professionals (CPA’s, CPL’s, CMM’s, etc.). Our team works on behalf of mineral rights owners to provide accounting, division order analysis, lease negotiations, and management of mineral rights assets. This is accomplished with great efficiency because of our state of the art cloud based software platform mineral.tech. mineral. tech allows our clients to view the status of their assets in real-time from anywhere, so that they are consistently kept up to date on their holdings and their performance.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We are very excited about Valor’s growth and acceptance in the Market. Our mission is to bring peace of mind to mineral and royalty owners and we have really enjoyed the clients that have trusted us so far and look forward to continuing to build relationships with others as we grow Valor. Valor is unique in this space and fits a need in the market that was not otherwise being addressed. We look forward to helping many more mineral rights owners in the years to come.
Please tell us about the company.
Valor provides business process outsourcing services to owners of oil and gas mineral rights and royalties. This includes accounting, land management, division order analysis, lease negotiation and mapping capabilities. Our company does all of its work within our proprietary software, mineral.tech. This allows us to consolidate all of our client’s information in a single place so that we can most effectively manage their assets. Valor is unique in the marketplace as we are a service company with a software product. Our fee structure is superior to our competition as it is transparent and fair. We do not believe in charging clients a percentage of their gross revenue simply because it has been done that way by others in the past. We are also very proud of our team. We have built a team that is full of oil and gas professionals, most that have owned minerals for generations themselves and understand the complexities. Our team has attorneys, CPAs, Certified Professional Landmen, and Certified Mineral Managers. We are fully staffed by professionals to properly meet the needs of our clients.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Our honesty and transparency are very important to our success. We are transparent in our billing and fee structure as well as our presentation of client data. All of these work towards our goal of bringing peace of mind to mineral and royalty owners.
