I started painting my freshman year of college after dealing with my first heartbreak. It was my way of releasing and was also the way I discovered my talent. Over the years, I have transitioned from only painting to also doing graphic design. I now work with paintings, digital art, brand development, and website design. My clientele has grown through social media and word of mouth. Others like my work and then tell others of my affordable prices. I have now made my business my full-time job at the age of 21.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Multiple times I have wanted to quit due to doubting myself and feeling like I didnt have the support I deserved. I eventually grew my clientele but still deal with doubts. I think just like with anything, there is space to grow and I hope to continue to grow my business in the upcoming years.

Kiasi’s Kreations works with multiple outlets such as graphic design, web design, and painting. I work largely with beauty brands who are just starting up or looking to develop further. I create logos, flyers, websites, and more. My painting side is inspired by things I love such as nature, melanin skin, and love. I also incorporate things from my childhood such as tv shows and past memories. Though majority of my services are available to others, my paintings are not. I feel that due to painting being my outlet, I want to keep it personal to myself so I don’t offer commissions but I do sell prints and merchandise. I think what makes Kiasi’s Kreations so different is how I don’t only specialize in one field but multiple and combine them all as one. I have yet to see anyone else like Kiasi’s Kreations. Most of my business is digital work for clientele but my art also gets recognized on more of a personal level. I feel that my business can be inspiring to others due to how young I am
but also how ambitious.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think Dallas has great opportunities for painters and graphic designers. Personally, my business clientele comes from out of state but I would like to build my name up more in the area and work with larger local companies. For anyone starting out, I would just say stay motivated through the hard times because there definitely will be some. Believe in yourself and your work and others will do the same. Stay consistent and always be professional. Professionalism is sometimes lacked in the business industry for African Americans, so it’s very important to break that stereotype and build your business in the process.
