Meet LaRon Hearst of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaRon Hearst.

Hi LaRon, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Music has always been present in my life. Growing up in the Hearst household in South Carolina, courtesy of my parents Gracie and the late Ronnie Hearst, there was no such thing as a quiet Saturday. If the music was on, somebody was dancing, and by somebody I mean me. I could also be found singing at the top of my lungs and getting on everybody’s nerves. By age 10, my elementary school offered a strings class teaching violin, viola, cello, & bass. My parents allowed me to sign up and also made a way for me to take private lessons throughout my teen years. In conjunction I also started a singing group with my then best friend, Angel.

This all eventually turned into a full-time career as an electric violinist and vocalist when we moved to Florida, performing at corporate events, weddings, and private events nationwide. And Angel, my then best friend, now wife, is still with me. She has been my performance partner, my creative collaborator, and my ride-or-die ever since. Our boys, English and Skyler, have inherited the performance gene and join us on stage whenever they get the chance. We recently released some music under “LaRon & Angel” on all major streaming platforms as well as a collaborative project with “Seven Music”.

We have since made our way to DFW and have loved getting involved in the community and sharing our talents here!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every journey has its challenges, whether personal or professional. For years, I worked in the non-profit and corporate world, happily doing my music on the side, until the new job I had been hired for, went through a massive layoff that included me. Instead of landing another 9-to-5, I shifted my focus to growing my music career and told myself I’d give it three months to see what would happen. Five years later, I’m still giving it three more months, LOL!

Most recently, the move to DFW was its own leap of faith. I was diving into a brand new market without any local connections, but I trusted that I was walking in alignment with God’s will. Because of a previous performance at a Mike Evans event in Tampa Bay, the organization coordinating that event was also working with former Cowboys Player, Micah Parsons and reached out to me about performing at his event, which would be within two weeks of my arriving to DFW. From there, the Dallas Cowboys Coach, Coach Schottenheimer and his wife invited me to be a part of several of their events, and other divine opportunities continued to follow. Dallas welcomed us faster than we ever expected!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I provide the soundtrack for your events! Music is so important at any gathering and that’s where I come in. I’m a contemporary electric violinist that elevates the experience of your event. I float around the room playing music ranging from Rihanna and Michael Jackson to Morgan Wallen, Elevation Worship, Linkin Park, CeCe Winans, Bruno Mars, Diplo, and The Isley Brothers. I cross genres and generations all while engaging your guests with a dance and a smile.

One of the things I am most proud of recently was being sought out by the Wall Street Journal events team to perform for their board members and staff at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palm Beach. What made that moment special wasn’t just the prestige of the name. It was knowing they genuinely wanted me. That kind of recognition speaks to something I care deeply about, which is the business I conduct off the stage just as much as the performance I deliver on it. I strive to make sure my clients, event planners, and guests experience excellence at every touchpoint, not just when the music starts.

What sets me apart is that I offer three distinct experiences depending on your event needs: a solo performance, a husband and wife duo with my wife Angel, or a full family ensemble including our boys English and Skyler. It is a truly unique offering with something for every occasion, whether it is an intimate gathering or a large scale celebration. Combined with the care and attention I put into every client relationship on and off the stage, the experience goes far beyond the music.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I want to thank everyone who has trusted and hired me for their events! I am thankful to have worked with some great clients. To NACE DFW and Visit Dallas, I appreciate these associations for welcoming me into the area and for the incredible opportunities, including being awarded Meeting Entertainer of the Year. That was such an honor that I will never forget. I also want to give a special shout out to my pastors Heanon and Nakeesha Tate for investing in me for so many years, as well as my entire church family at Seven the Oath. I look forward to developing more connections and relationships. If you see me out in the DFW area, come say hello!
