Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Kovar and Lauren Holt.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Lauren and Lauren. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We are two friends Lo (Lauren K) & Ren (Lauren H) who love all things home and home interiors! We started this business because we are obsessed with decorating and renovating and wanted to channel our creativity and constant designing into a company that could bring affordable and beautiful home furnishings and accessories to people. We love to scout vintage furniture from different design eras like mid-century modern and Hollywood Regency styles of the ’50s and 60’s to the boho-chic ’70s and even some very fab pieces from the 80’s that we can’t live without! We style them to show our customers how they can be used in a modern setting. Our company wants to take the guess work out of styling your home and bring beautiful home interiors within reach for more people. We are busy developing our own line of affordable accessories for home and pets that highlight our eclectic style that complements our eclectic vintage finds! Those should roll out early next year!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We need more room! Finding some space in the future to showcase our products and meet customers is top of the list.
Please tell us about Marquetry Home – what should we know?
We have combined our experience in homes and home interiors to curate a collection of vintage furniture and specifically selected home decor pieces that we can then offer to our followers for sale. We want everyone to have an inviting, sophisticated, well-appointed space that they can feel great about coming home to every day. Our pieces bring beauty and affordability to this process. We are most proud of how well received our company has been with people and how excited people are about the concept and how quickly our pieces are moving in and out of inventory!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The behind the scenes work ethic is what sets apart the business and is the key to our success. There’s so many unseen hours of preparation that go into a single styled post on the internet!
