Meet Malorie West

Today we’d like to introduce you to Malorie West.

Malorie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I attended the International Presentation of Performers in July of 2018 after being scouted in my local area. While I was in Vegas, I was titled Female Model of the Year, walked in my first runway fashion show, I was the winner of Best Headshot and second runner up in Runway. I also made several new friends from all over the world which was an amazing experience. I received several callbacks and within one month was signed with my current agency that represents me in the Los Angeles and Las Vegas areas. While at iPop, I met a fashion designer for celebrities who has a dress shop on Dayton Way in Los Angeles, California. I also started in a hit reality show called “Gown and Out in Beverly Hills.” The dress designer invited me to be a guest on their show and do an editorial photo shoot in his beautiful gowns. Amazing experience. Today, I travel mostly to Dallas to model and be a part of runway shows as often as I can. I also work locally in Louisiana and try to be a part of as much as I possibly can.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, it has not been easy. It takes a lot of dedication and hard work to model and it usually involves long hours. There have been times where I get pushed back or run into obstacles but the best thing to do when that happens is to keep going which is what I’ve done.

Tell us about your work. What do you do, what do you specialize in?
I am known as a model and I specialize in high fashion editorial shoots and runway. I am most proud of how I have been able to network on a large scale and how many new people I’ve met along the way. What sets me apart from others is my kindness to the people around me and my persistence to keep going even through the hard patches.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Determination is definitely the most important characteristic of my success. Without the determination that I have, I would not have made it as far as I have. I most likely would have given up a very long time ago. But instead, I was determined and persisted.
