Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Herrin.
Mark, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I always had a strong interest in health and nutrition, even as a teenager. In 1976 I opened Sundrops to provide the best products available and a higher level of nutrition and dietetics to improve people’s health. Understanding the science always interested me the most so I continued with further education and utilizing the research involving natural molecules and health. In the process we have reviewed the research on every molecule that we have or might recommend. We develop protocols that provide the forms and balance of nutrients to produce the best outcomes. I am currently working on making our protocols into formulas to simplify and improve supplement use. In the end every person that comes into Sundrops get equal assistance with their diet, exercise and supplementation since that is the only true way to maximize health.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The advent of Whole Foods presented a crossroads of growing into a grocery or maintaining a focus on nutrition and formulation… I chose the latter
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Sundrops Vitamins & Nutrition story. Tell us more about the business.
Our goal is to provide a high level of nutrition and dietetic assistance to all of Sundrops clients in an easy to understand manner. We always have the most scientifically proven natural and health professional supplements available to insure the best outcomes. We are really serious about the science – nothing else matters. Many people come to Sundrops looking for a magic bullet, but we always address the dietary balance and quality, and exercise, because you can’t succeed without all three. Our only goal is that people do better.
Each month we write a Nutrition Review newsletter providing nutrition articles and research snippets. There are also monthly sales on the most popular supplements with savings usually at 30%.
