Today we’d like to introduce you to Marty Younkin.
Marty, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was a singles pastor of a large church in the Dallas area and I was officiating weddings almost every weekend. When I resigned from the church, I began a wedding Officiant service in 1990 called “A Wedding Ceremony to Remember”. My wife is a vocalist / keyboardist and the name of her business was “LoveNotes”. Eventually we combined our businesses and called it LoveNotes-DFW Clergy Services. We now have 20 Ministers on our staff and have grown to become the largest and most respected wedding officiant service in North Texas. We have achieved that distinction by providing a quality service at a competitive price. LoveNotes-DFW Clergy Services has received the prestigious “Vendi” award as the best wedding officiants in Dallas / Ft. Worth the past 9 years
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m reminded of the words of Robert T. Kiyosaki —“Winners are not afraid of losing. But losers are. Failure is part of the process of success. People who avoid failure also avoid success.”
Running a successful business always has its challenges. Every day is an adventure to learn from mistakes and seek to improve what one does. The biggest challenge (struggle) was to achieve name recognition. It took years of implementing the good old fashioned approach of “knocking on doors” “constant phone calls” “lunch meetings” to build relationships with vendors and venues in the wedding industry. Now the challenge is to maintain and / or improve those relationships.

We specialize in providing Ministers for weddings, but we also provide services for funerals, memorial services, baby dedications, christenings and baptisms. Rev.
