Meet Miesha Jones of Love Jones Designs in Frisco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miesha Jones.

Miesha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I always felt, as a creative, I was going to make my own career path. For a number of years, I worked as an invitation designer. I loved having the task of making the first impression for our client’s events. Over the years, my involvement with invitation design transitioned into event planning and design. Being able to imagine a unique celebration and see it come to life, is what drives me.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Was this transition a smooth road? No. I look at my journey as one that it filled with “battles and blessings”. Most of the battles have come from learning the business. Believe me, I’ve made my share of rookie mistakes. The blessing has come in the form of friendships and mentors I’ve gained in the business.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Love Jones Designs – what should we know?
We specialize in social events. We love to have fun and create a place where guest can gather and have a great experience together. Whether it’s a milestone birthday, anniversary party or a poolside cocktail party, we love creating a celebration experience that feels new, fresh, exciting, and most of all fun!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
There are so many people who have led me on this journey. First, I truly believe that God created me to create, so knowing this, allows me to feel confident in the work I am doing. My ultimate cheerleader is my husband. He genuinely loves seeing the growth and development of this business. My business coach, Tiffany Fulcher has been essential in providing direction for growth and understanding how to tackle life as mother, wife and business owner. Millicent Finney and Chloe Cook are two veteran planners who mentor me. They encourage, challenge, support and give insight into the world of events. They have been an invaluable resource. The Love Jones Designs team (Alison, Kari, and Amy) is one full of hand on, trouble shooters who have been dedicated since day one and keeps this train rolling!
