Meet Olivia Baxter of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Baxter.

Hi Olivia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
For The Girls was born out of a simple but very real problem: making friends as an adult is hard. I noticed that life after college, especially with the rise of remote work, had left a lot of women in Fort Worth feeling isolated, craving connection but unsure of how (or where) to find it. Gone were the built-in friendships of school and campus life, replaced by empty calendars and the nerve-racking task of putting myself out there to meet new people.
So I created the community I wished existed: a social club where women could show up, be themselves, and walk away with genuine, lasting friendships.
Today, For The Girls brings together women all throughout Fort Worth and beyond through a rotating lineup of events designed to spark real connection, including wine walks, cocktail classes, sip and sculpt sessions, coffee socials, and more. Every gathering doubles as a chance to discover a local Fort Worth business, reflecting my mission to support the city’s small businesses while giving women a low-pressure way to meet new faces.
At its core, For The Girls is about more than just events. It’s about rebuilding the kind of community that life after graduation often takes away, one friendship at a time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For me, the hardest part was making the leap to create this group and put it out into the world. Just as initiating conversation in person is nerve wracking, blasting my idea online gor the world to see was even more frightening. It has been so fruitful, however it was definitely a scary leap of faith!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work in Accident Reconstruction as my 9-5

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Forming For The Girls has really brought me out of my shell and has forced me to initiate conversation with people much more often. I would encourage people to embolden themselves, and find the confidence to take a small leap of faith and simply make a connection before anything. Networking comes much more naturally if there is comfortability!
