Today we’d like to introduce you to Prerana Khanna and Ginny Wadhwa.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
With love for unconventional clutch bags and passion for colorful embroidery, we launched The Fusion Hanger in July 2017; bringing together colorful and innovative embroidery patterns on clutch bags. The real idea behind the brand was to make bags with unique designs and materials that are available to the customers at an affordable price.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Every new business faces some challenges and our journey was no different. When we started discussing the idea of their many speculations; will the customers appreciate the craftsmanship, will they like the colorful patterns, how should we introduce our brand, etc. We first introduced our bags at a local event led to another and we gradually picked paced and people loved the art on bags.
Please tell us about The Fusion Hanger.
The Fusion Hanger designs and manufactures unique clutch bags. Each bag is hand-embroidered with finest of materials (beads, threads and sequins) on luxurious fabrics like silk and velvet. We are most proud of the fact that all our bags are handcrafted taking into account each detail of the design. Our bags are unique and fun to carry. We have one for every occasion. We also do customization for wholesale orders.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
We would have used social media more efficiently to reach out to our customers.
