Meet Roderick Rayson of Esyntric in Central Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roderick Rayson.

Roderick, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Back in 2010, I had this idea of creating my own platform. The word eccentric came to mind instantly because that’s how I describe my personality. I’ve always had an interest in music and promoting great people and having a safe place of sharing small pieces of myself to others, I wanted to create a website that includes all of those things.

I didn’t know what I wanted to do exactly at that time with the idea I had but I eventually sat on the idea for some years and let life take its course. Back in 2016, I came back to this idea and everything fell into place. I began my journey in creating a platform that promotes positive content no matter if was music from my favorite artist is, my journey and promoting others. On February 19, 2018, esyntric was born and I have experienced nothing but joy thus far.

Has it been a smooth road?
The journey has been a rocky one. The toughest thing for me was consistency. I wanted to prove to myself that I can start something and substain it. It’s been many long nights and lot of doubts to know if I could pull this off. At times I was discouraged because of the fear of not being heard. I was able to have an amazing set of family and friends who have pushed me and reminded me that I was doing the right thing.

Please tell us about Esyntric.
Esyntric is a movement. I wanted to create a platform that would allow me to grow pass blogging. The blog now includes things about myself and music that I love. In regards to music, I do a lot of album reviews and concert reviews and I try to promote new artists as well. I have a Boss Moves section that promotes anyone with a business or platform with hopes to inspire others.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next five years, I plan to exit the Blog world. I do plan on having a YouTube channel that will launch summer/fall of this year. I will be vlogging about things I blog in regards to music, my life and promoting/ interviewing others. I do plan on launching a few small ventures including my own photography business that will be up and running this summer. I am looking into launching my own merchandise store and many other cool projects as well!
