Meet Rory Cruz of Visual Impact Specialties in Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rory Cruz.

Visual Impact Specialties is a family owned screen print shop located in Arlington, Texas. Established in 1989, they have been serving the DFW area for over 25 years.

Ronnie Cruz purchased the business from his brother Randy Cruz in 1994. Ronnie took on the task of venturing into something completely new to him, an industry in which he had no prior experience. His dedication helped expand and grow the business into what it is today.

Ronnie’s son, Rory, took over operations in 2012. He took on the task of updating the infrastructure and marketing scheme of the business. Ronnie’s Daughter, Crystal is a silent partner as well. They continue to work together to grow as both a family and as a business.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Over the years many obstacles have presented themselves. For 25 years everything was manually produced. Up until last year, everything was produced by hand. Ronnie put in long hours of manual labor to ensure every customer was provided a quality product. Automation has allowed us to increase production exponentially.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Visual Impact Specialties – what should we know?
Visual Impact Specialties creates and produces custom graphic design and screen printed apparel. Our in-house team of artists and printers create top quality printed apparel for a wide range of clientele. We specialize in custom graphic design as well as sports uniforms and athletic numbering. Our ability to produce high quality customized athletic uniforms helps to set us apart from the competition. We are proud to be able to work with Texas Rangers Baseball Organization to help create custom apparel for the players and staff. We also work in conjunction with both small business’ and Fortune 500 companies such as Southwest Airlines and Lockheed Martin.

The city of Arlington and the DFW area has been very supportive over the years. Whether it be schools, businesses, or individuals that help support us. We would not be able to do what we do without the people of DFW.
