Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharissa Sebastian.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I spent over 13 years working in technology in the corporate world before making the transition to full-time entrepreneurship. I enjoyed my career to some extent but I got to the point where I realized that it wasn’t the best fit for me. Through a journey of self-discovery, with the help of coaching, I resolved to help women in the corporate world never feel as frustrated and lost as I did, especially towards the end of my career.
That led me to discover my true passion and start a business that allows me to do the work I love full time… help women in corporate leadership enjoy going into work every day, have the impact they want to have and actually be energized and excited about what they choose to do.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been easy but it has been incredibly rewarding. When I started my business I grossly underestimated the level of difficulty and amount of challenges that come with being an entrepreneur. It has come with many twists and turns and countless lessons along the way. What has kept me going is my drive to not let any woman I can help stay stuck in a job they hate.
I also want to be a good role model to my daughter and have the biggest impact in the world as I can have. That together with my faith in God’s plan for me, has helped me weather the storms… and there have been many!
