Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone Fisher.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Simone. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up with a passion for music and fashion. Dressing up pretending that I was at the soul train awards or bet awards. I always love the industry of music and fashion. But I never knew I would be here today doing what I love most. I went to Prairie View University where I studied nursing. But not soon after I decided to come back home to Dallas and work a full-time job to support my children. I was a year or two when I finally decided after a circumstance in my life took place to go ahead and fulfill my destiny. It was then in 2015 that I stepped out on faith and quit my job to pursue my dream of fashion design. I took private lessons and kept my plan to myself. My kids have been my motivation and have pushed me since day one. I have recently been featured in the top 9 designers on the “Hall of Prom” for 2019 designers all over the U.S. It has been my pleasure to share my testimony with my prom ladies. I have built so many bonds with each and every girl. To be able to be a part of one of the biggest moments of their lives is a life-changing experience. I consider myself as being a mentor to each and every girl I come to encounter. They look up to me and even after the prom, they still call me and confide in me for personal advice. This is a dream come true for me.
Has it been a smooth road?
Pursuing your dream is never easy but like I state to my children all the time, “Anything worth having is worth working hard to see it all fall in place.” I have a testimony. I didn’t choose this lifestyle, it chose me! It has been plenty of times I wanted to throw the towel in but I continued to press on. Being a single mom and an entrepreneur is not easy at all.

Bellanude specializes in evening, prom, and wedding gowns. As a company, I’m proud of my growth. I have seen a major change in the beginning when I first started until today. Me being a positive role model and influencer is what sets me apart from others, I’m not just a designer I’m a mentor to some.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I like the people that I’ve encountered via business or personal with my business. I like least is the opportunities that we are limited too, which cause me to want to travel more.
