Meet Solomon Dechassa of Epic Wear Outlet & Printing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Solomon Dechassa.

Solomon, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Officially my company was incorporated in August 2018, this is the official legal start date (birth date if you will) for the company. However, the journey started well before this date for me. I had always wanted to own my business since when I was a little boy. The idea of starting my company (EPIC WEAR) comes from one of my friends.

I always want to represent my roots. I was born in Africa and grew up in the US. I thought it was perfect to use this business by producing t-shirts that represent Africa. Once I started my company with the help of my cousin and with the moral support of my parents, it went well. Now I’m still walking on my business and I am trying to expand throughout Africa and the whole world.

Has it been a smooth road?
During this past two years had lots of up and downs and worked really hard to build a brand name of my own business. As a start-up business owner, it is hard to study the market and same time had to please my customers but with my hard work and with God’s grace my business is going just marvelous. I am on the road to opening a second branch in my birth land in Ethiopia Africa.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Epic Wear Outlet & Printing story. Tell us more about the business.
At EPIC WEAR, We’re about more than shirts. We’re about you and everything you love. The passion you share with your group, club, or team; the excitement you have for your event or cause; and the drive that makes your business stand out from the rest. We believe the custom t-shirts do more than just make you look good- they help you and inspire you to do good as well. We’re passionate about custom gear, but what we love even more is helping you bring what you love of life. We always create something together without customers.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
For my success so far lots of people get credited. The once on the front in line is my friend Max who gave me the idea of the business in the first place is well-deserving of the credit and respect. My parents are big mentors for me to keep going with my work when times are hard they push me and I give them lots of credits. My one and only teammate that has played a big role in my success is my best brother Henok A. He is the one managing for the new branch we getting ready to open in Ethiopia (EPIC WEAR ADDIS) and he has been playing a big role by designing lots of Epic Design for (EPIC WEAR DALLAS).
