Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Regalado.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started Cleaned by Stef, LLC during a time in my life when I needed to rebuild everything from the ground up. What began as a small cleaning service quickly grew into something much bigger — a government‑registered, woman‑owned small business specializing in janitorial and facility supplies.
I didn’t come from a business background. I learned everything step by step — registering in SAM.gov, earning my WOSB certification, understanding procurement, and building relationships with schools and government buyers. Every challenge pushed me to grow, and every win showed me I was on the right path.
Today, I operate as a government reseller and supplier, serving school districts and public agencies with the same determination that helped me start. My journey has been about resilience, learning, and proving to myself that I could create something real and meaningful for my family and my community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all — my journey has been anything but smooth, but every challenge shaped the business I run today. I started Cleaned by Stef, LLC during a period of rebuilding my life from the ground up. I didn’t have a roadmap, a mentor, or a business background. I had to learn everything step by step — from registering my business, to navigating SAM.gov, to understanding government procurement and earning my WOSB certification.
There were moments where I felt overwhelmed, especially trying to balance life, family, and building a business with no outside help. I made mistakes, had to restart processes, and spent countless hours researching things most people never see behind the scenes. But those struggles forced me to become resourceful, disciplined, and confident in areas I never imagined I’d grow into.
The road wasn’t smooth, but it was worth it. Every obstacle pushed me to level up, and every setback taught me something that now makes my business stronger and more capable of serving schools and government agencies today.
We’ve been impressed with Cleaned by Stef, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Cleaned by Stef, LLC is a woman‑owned, SAM.gov–registered government reseller specializing in janitorial, facility, and operational supplies for schools, public agencies, and institutional buyers. What started as a small cleaning service has evolved into a fully compliant, WOSB‑certified supplier focused on reliability, accuracy, and service excellence.
I specialize in helping schools and government entities get the products they need — from paper goods and cleaning chemicals to trash liners, dispensers, and facility essentials. My business is built on precision: correct NAICS codes, accurate product matching, dependable sourcing, and a commitment to delivering exactly what agencies require.
What sets me apart is my approach. I run my business with the same values that helped me rebuild my life: dignity, dependability, and documentation. I’m meticulous about compliance, transparent with buyers, and dedicated to making procurement easier for the agencies I serve. Many small vendors focus only on selling; I focus on understanding the agency’s needs, their buying patterns, their contract history, and how to support them long‑term.
Brand‑wise, I’m most proud of the fact that Cleaned by Stef represents resilience and professionalism. It’s a brand built by a Hispanic woman who learned the government space from scratch and turned it into a real, structured, compliant operation. My goal is for every buyer to feel confident that when they work with me, they’re working with someone who takes their mission seriously.
For readers, I want them to know that Cleaned by Stef, LLC is more than a business — it’s a reliable partner for schools and public agencies. I offer curated product sourcing, competitive pricing, and a commitment to service that’s personal, consistent, and rooted in integrity. Whether it’s a small purchase or a recurring supply need, I’m here to support the people who keep our communities running.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t about a title or a dollar amount — it’s about stability, growth, and the ability to stand on my own two feet. Success is being able to build something real from nothing, to provide for my family, and to create a business that reflects my values: integrity, consistency, and resilience.
I define success as progress — the small wins, the systems I’ve built, the certifications I earned, the contracts I’m now able to pursue, and the confidence that comes from learning an entire industry on my own. Success is knowing that every step I take is building a future that belongs to me.
Most importantly, success is freedom. The freedom to create, to grow, to serve my community, and to build a legacy my kids can be proud of. That’s what drives me every day.
