Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Salerno.
Hi Taylor , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Photography has been in my heart since I was in middle school. I started experimenting with a point-and-shoot camera and got my DSLR in high school. Once I got that I then started taking photos for friends and marketing myself on Facebook to gain clients. I did mostly families and seniors until 2015 when I second shot my first wedding and after that night I knew this was the niche I was supposed to be in. It was such a high feeling that I’ll never forget – the type in your soul that you know was meant for you. Ever since then I’ve been focused more on weddings and couples but I still photograph families, births, and all the things in between.
Today I am proud to call my self a professional wedding photographer but even more proud that I get to do this for my career. Like, I love my job – that’s such a blessing for me to be able to say that!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’d say it’s been pretty smooth! It’s been LONG – but smooth. This whole venture started for me in 2006, and here we are 20 years later, thriving! I busted my butt to build this business while also having babies and working a full-time corporate job so it took me a minute to get here but we made it!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a wedding photographer based in North Texas, and I specialize in creating timeless, emotional imagery that feels as meaningful 20 years from now as it does today. While weddings are a huge part of what I do, my passion has always been documenting relationships and preserving the moments that matter most.
What I’m known for is creating an experience that’s about so much more than photos. My clients often tell me that I felt like a trusted friend throughout the process—not just their photographer. I help guide timelines, calm nerves, keep the day moving smoothly, and make sure my couples can be fully present while I document it all.
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built over the last decade. Many of my wedding couples have become lifelong clients, and I’ve had the honor of photographing their growing families, newborns, and milestones long after the wedding day is over. That trust means everything to me.
What sets me apart is the combination of experience and my servants heart. Anyone can take a beautiful photo, but I believe the way you make people feel matters just as much as the final gallery. My goal is for every client to feel cared for, seen, and completely at ease in front of my camera. The images are important, but creating an experience they’ll remember is what truly drives me.
