Attending a University upon graduating High School isn’t for everyone, and I can admit it wasn’t for me. I’ve been working a 9 to 5 since high school, spending the last few years in Corporate America. After the birth of my baby boy, I knew I needed a change. I appreciated the stability my job offered, but the more I pondered on the future I wanted for my son I knew that wasn’t the route for us.

I was immediately drawn to the beauty industry. Not hair or makeup, but skin! I have received countless compliments regarding my complexion, however, I knew nothing about how to adequately care for my skin. I enrolled in an esthetics institute and became a licensed esthetician on July 9, 2019. From flexible schedules to removing the cap on my earnings, becoming an entrepreneur is one of the most gainfully rewarding choices I’ve ever made!

My journey has never been easy. Fear of failure has been both my greatest struggle and motivator. I spend countless hours perfecting my craft and attending various trainings all to provide my clients with the education and services they need to achieve their skin goals.

Tell us more about your work.
The skin I’m In was created to encourage everyone, no matter their gender, race, or ethnicity, to be comfortable in their skin. I offer various facial services that aid in the correction and sustainability of one’s skin. I also provide my clients with a personalized daily skin care regimen. I am most proud of my ability to create a memorable customer experience. Each interaction varies, but I enjoy putting my client’s mind at ease knowing they’re in capable hands. In skin care maintenance is key. It isn’t enough to offer a great service, I must teach each client how to properly care for their skin, which stimulates growth and promotes loyalty. My ultimate goal is to foster confidence in one’s natural beauty.
