Hi Yvette, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m an avid romance reader.
I “tinkered” but never really tried writing until Penny Reid (one of my favorite authors) invited other writers to write into her universe to be published.
I didn’t make the cut (twice!), but I kept writing and one of my short stories was eventually accepted into a small indie press out of the U.K.
I’ve self-published six contemporary romances to date 🙂
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My expectations (of myself) increase with each book and that apparently doesn’t do great things for creativity. Writing is a joy (except when it’s not) – ha! – but if even one person (not my friend or family) read it – and like it… that’s a pretty dang awesome feeling!

Contemporary romance writer here! I call my books “sassy and peck-ish”.
Never really dark, I still try to be realistic in the relationship development. The main characters are both flawed. They make mistakes and grow from them.
