Rising Stars: Meet Evelyn White of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evelyn White.

Hi Evelyn , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As a first-generation American, I was raised in a strong family unit from Sierra Leone. I grew up understanding the importance of hard work, perseverance, and creating opportunities that weren’t always readily available. Those experiences shaped my passion for finance because I saw firsthand how financial education and access to resources can completely change someone’s life trajectory.

Service has always been at the center of everything I do. I proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Chemical Officer, and that same heart for serving others has carried over into my civilian life and entrepreneurial journey. Today, my passion lies at the intersection of faith and finance. I believe that financial wellness is about more than money. It’s about empowerment, stewardship, and helping people build the confidence to create the lives they envision. As a woman of Christian faith, my motto is “you glow different when God is the source”.

One of the ways I give back is by offering free credit repair guidance and helping women learn how to budget, manage their finances, and make informed financial decisions. I hold an MBA in Finance and have worked in the field for the last 2 years. There is something incredibly rewarding about watching someone gain confidence because they finally understand their finances and realize that financial freedom is within reach.

Beyond finance, I’m also a female veteran creator and the owner of The Experience Party Planning and photo booth business. I love creating memorable experiences and bringing joy to life’s special moments. Whether I’m helping someone improve their financial future or celebrating milestones through my event business, my mission remains the same. My purpose is to serve people, create impact, and leave every person I encounter feeling more empowered than before.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest struggles has been overcoming imposter syndrome. As a first-generation American, a woman in the military, and now someone building businesses and pursuing a career in finance, there have been many moments when I questioned whether I was qualified enough or if I truly belonged in certain spaces. With 3 collegiate degrees and multiple professional accolades, I often struggled with perfectionism in the past.

My time in the Army, especially during COVID and deployments, also came with unique challenges. Those experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to lead through uncertainty. There were seasons of isolation and difficult transitions that forced me to grow in ways I never expected. As a woman, we are automaticallly looked upon as weaker. But in the military, you have to have the tenacity and drive to excel above your peers in every setting.

More than anything, my journey has been about learning to trust God’s purpose for my life. There were times when I wanted every step to make sense immediately, but I’ve learned that purpose often unfolds one season at a time. I’ve had to be willing to step out in faith, even when I felt unprepared or afraid. Looking back, every challenge, from self-doubt to career pivots and military experiences, has shaped me into someone passionate about serving others. My mission is to help people realize that they, too, can overcome obstacles and walk confidently in their calling.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I wear a few different hats, but at the core of everything I do is service. I am a finance professional, female veteran, entrepreneur, content creator, and the owner of The Experience Party Planning. My work is centered around helping people create meaningful experiences and empowering them to build better futures, whether that’s through financial education, inspiring content, or celebrating life’s special moments.

As a content creator, I specialize in lifestyle, faith, beauty, and fragrance content. I love sharing the everyday moments that make life beautiful. From self-care routines and perfume discoveries to conversations about faith, personal growth, and navigating life with purpose. My platform is a reflection of who I am: someone who believes you can pursue your goals, embrace femininity, and stay grounded in your faith all at the same time.

Professionally, I specialize in financial literacy, credit education, and helping women feel confident managing their money. One of my greatest passions is the intersection of faith and finance. Through free credit repair guidance and budgeting education, I’ve been able to encourage and empower others to take control of their financial journeys.

What I’m most proud of is my ability to pivot and embrace new seasons of life. From serving in the U.S. Army and leading through challenging circumstances to transitioning into finance, entrepreneurship, and content creation, I’ve learned to trust the process and use every experience as an opportunity to serve others.

What sets me apart is that I lead with authenticity and purpose. I don’t believe success is only measured by titles or accomplishments—it’s measured by impact. Whether I’m helping someone improve their credit, creating content that inspires women to live intentionally, or planning an unforgettable event, I strive to make people feel seen, valued, and empowered. My journey has taught me that your story and your struggles can become the very things that help someone else believe in what’s possible for their own life.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’ve learned that some of the biggest blessings come from taking risks, especially when they’re rooted in faith. One of the biggest risks I ever took was joining the military in 2019. I felt God calling me to take that step, even though I had no idea where it would lead or how much it would change my life. Shortly after, the world was turned upside down by COVID, and I found myself navigating a deployment, career uncertainty, and experiences I never could have imagined.
That decision taught me that risk isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about being willing to trust the process and step forward even when the outcome is unknown. Every major opportunity in my life has come from being willing to take a leap of faith. God continues to show me exactly how good it can get because my faith is bigger than any of my fears.
