Today we’d like to introduce you to Hailee Carswell.
Hi Hailee, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into the wedding industry started when I was in high school. I took a part-time job assisting a wedding photographer, and from the very first wedding I experienced, I knew I had found something special. I didn’t know exactly where my path would lead, but I knew I wanted to help create meaningful experiences for couples on one of the most important days of their lives.
That early experience sparked a passion that continued to grow as I explored different areas of the wedding world. I went on to work for an independent floral designer and a flower shop, where I learned the artistry and attention to detail that goes into creating beautiful events. From there, I joined NOAH’S Event Venue, where I gained valuable experience in venue operations and event execution.
My career truly flourished during my time with The Springs Event Venues. I quickly moved into leadership roles, assisting with new venue openings and eventually becoming a General Manager. The Springs gave me an incredible foundation in hospitality, operations, and client experience, and it remains a chapter of my career that I hold especially close to my heart. I learned how to balance a couple’s big-picture vision with the countless details required to create exceptional events.
After The Springs, I joined Walters Wedding Estates, where I experienced the luxury, all-inclusive venue model and further developed my planning, logistics, and vendor relationship skills. Working closely with talented professionals across every aspect of the industry reinforced the importance of collaboration and taught me how meaningful strong vendor partnerships are to a successful wedding day.
Over the past 17 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in photography, florals, banquet catering, bar service, bakery operations, venue management, hospitality, and wedding planning. Each role has shaped my approach and given me a unique understanding of the wedding experience from every perspective.
Unlike many who discover wedding planning after planning their own wedding, my path has been built through years of hands-on experience across nearly every facet of the industry. I’ve learned what happens behind the scenes, what vendors need to succeed, how venues operate, and how thoughtful planning and intentional design can transform a couple’s experience. My background in photography, florals, and venue management has given me a keen eye for styling and an exceptional eye for detail, allowing me to create celebrations that are not only seamless, but also beautifully curated and reflective of each couple’s unique vision.
For years, I dreamed about building a business of my own, but like many entrepreneurs, I kept waiting for the “right” time. In 2026, an unexpected career transition became the push I needed to take a leap of faith and launch Carswell Curated Events. What initially felt like a difficult moment quickly became an opportunity to create a business that truly reflects my values: personalized service, thoughtful planning, genuine connection, and exceptional care for every couple I work with.
Today, Carswell Curated Events serves couples throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, creating celebrations that range from refined ranch weddings to elegant ballroom receptions and everything in between. My philosophy is simple: weddings aren’t about perfection, they’re about creating meaningful moments and allowing couples to be fully present with the people they love most. I handle the details behind the scenes so my couples can focus on making memories.
What sets my business apart is the depth and variety of experience I bring to each event, combined with a passion for thoughtful styling and a calm, personalized approach. Having worked in nearly every facet of the industry, I understand not only what couples need, but also how vendors, venues, and planners can work together to create a seamless experience. I’m also proud to be a certified wedding planner through the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners (AACWP).
I intentionally limit the number of weddings I take on each year so I can give each couple the attention, support, and personalized care they deserve. Couples often tell me that my calm presence, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate their needs allow them to truly relax and enjoy their wedding day.
My favorite part of every wedding day is seeing months of planning come to life and watching the moment when all the logistics fade into the background so my couples can simply be present with the people they love most.
Building Carswell Curated Events has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Every wedding reminds me why I fell in love with this industry all those years ago. As the business continues to grow, my goal remains the same: to create elevated, stress-free celebrations and help every couple feel supported, cared for, and fully present throughout their wedding journey.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I believe the challenges I’ve faced have shaped both who I am and how I serve my clients.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that no two weddings, and no two career paths, are ever the same. Weddings involve countless moving pieces, high emotions, tight timelines, and unexpected changes, so learning to adapt quickly while remaining calm under pressure has been essential throughout my career.
As I progressed into leadership roles, I also learned how to balance the operational side of the business with the deeply personal nature of weddings. Couples are trusting you with one of the most important days of their lives, and that responsibility is something I’ve never taken lightly.
The biggest turning point in my journey came in 2026 when I experienced an unexpected career transition after many years in venue leadership. At the time, it felt overwhelming and uncertain, but it ultimately became the catalyst for launching Carswell Curated Events.
Starting a business from the ground up has brought its own set of challenges. Building a brand, learning the entrepreneurial side of the industry, and putting myself out there in a new way pushed me far outside of my comfort zone.
Another challenge has been learning how to differentiate myself in an industry that has grown significantly over the years. There are many talented wedding professionals in the market, so I’ve focused on letting my experience speak for itself. With 17 years of hands-on experience across photography, florals, catering, bar service, venue management, hospitality, and wedding planning, I’ve built my business on a strong foundation of industry knowledge, meaningful vendor relationships, and a commitment to providing a personalized experience for every couple.
Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, I’ve focused on staying true to my values and creating an experience that feels calm, intentional, and genuinely supportive. Couples often tell me they’re drawn to my warm, welcoming presence and appreciate the peace of mind that comes from knowing every detail is being thoughtfully managed.
While the journey hasn’t always been easy, every challenge has taught me something valuable. It has strengthened my confidence, deepened my empathy, and reinforced my belief that some of life’s most difficult seasons can lead to the most meaningful opportunities.
Today, I approach every wedding with even more intention because I understand that plans don’t always go exactly as expected, and that’s okay. My role is to bring calm, confidence, and solutions so my couples can stay focused on what truly matters: celebrating with the people they love.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the owner and lead planner of Carswell Curated Events, a wedding planning and coordination company serving couples throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I specialize in wedding coordination and partial planning, helping couples create celebrations that feel personal, well-organized, and true to their vision.
My goal is to take the stress out of the planning process so couples can be fully present and enjoy every moment of their engagement and wedding day. Whether I’m creating detailed timelines, designing floor plans, styling décor, managing vendor communication, or overseeing logistics behind the scenes, I strive to ensure every detail is thoughtfully considered.
I’m known for my calm, warm, and welcoming approach. Couples often tell me they feel immediately at ease when working with me because I bring a sense of organization and confidence to the planning process. Even in high-pressure situations, I remain focused on finding solutions and creating a positive experience for everyone involved.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the depth of experience I’ve built over the past 17 years. Having seen weddings from so many different perspectives allows me to anticipate needs, communicate effectively with vendors, and create a seamless experience from start to finish.
I’m also proud to be a certified wedding planner through the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners (AACWP), a credential that demonstrates my dedication to ongoing education, industry best practices, and delivering an exceptional experience for every couple.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just manage timelines and logistics, I help bring a couple’s vision to life. My background in photography, florals, and venue management has given me a keen eye for styling and an exceptional attention to detail. I understand how an event should not only run, but also how it should look and feel.
In an industry that continues to grow, I’ve built Carswell Curated Events on experience, meaningful relationships, and personalized service. I intentionally limit the number of weddings I take on each year so I can provide each couple with the care, support, and attention they deserve.
At the end of the day, I’m most proud of creating an experience where couples feel genuinely cared for. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing months of planning come together and watching my couples relax, be fully present, and celebrate with the people they love most.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One thing that often surprises people is that, although I spend my days coordinating weddings and connecting with others, I’m naturally an introvert. I thrive on meaningful conversations and building genuine relationships, but I still feel those familiar butterflies when I walk into a room full of strangers.
That perspective has made me more intentional about creating a calm, welcoming environment where my couples feel comfortable, supported, and truly seen throughout the planning process. Because I understand what it’s like to feel overwhelmed or out of place, I’m able to connect with my couples in a way that feels reassuring, authentic, and grounded. In many ways, being an introvert has made me better at what I do.
Another fun fact is that I was born and raised in the country in East Texas. I grew up as a bit of a tomboy, spending my time fishing, hunting, riding ATVs, and being outdoors whenever I could. I think that upbringing shaped who I am today. It taught me to be resourceful, hardworking, and adaptable, qualities that serve me well in the fast-paced world of weddings.
Outside of weddings, I’m also a creative at heart. I love crafting, designing, and finding inspiration in the little details, which naturally carries over into my work. Whether I’m styling a tablescape, refining a floor plan, or helping a couple bring their vision to life, I truly believe it’s the thoughtful details that create the most meaningful experiences.
