Rising Stars: Meet Jeremy Sons

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Sons.

Hi Jeremy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
In March of 2020, during the Covid lockdown, we felt compelled to help our community. During this time, everyone seemed a little scared and worried. I had a Spider-Man costume in my closet from my daughter’s birthday party years prior. I decided I was going to wear that costume the next time I did my grocery shopping to spread a little love and laughter during such a difficult time.

A family that had lost their jobs due to Covid saw me dressed as Spider-Man and asked if I could come surprise their son for his birthday and how much I would charge. They couldn’t have a party due to social distancing and finances. I told them absolutely, we’ll be there, and we won’t charge you anything.

From that, we ended up doing roughly 2300 parties and events over the next 2 and a half years without ever charging anyone. The community support is what made it possible, and I am forever thankful for that…

Today, we are so excited to offer a variety of party services to keep spreading smiles and happy memories at a fair rate.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
From day 1 it’s been the highlight of my life. I believe I’m doing what God wants me to do. I believe I’m using the gifts and talents to spread love and laughter. It’s been no struggle at all.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I give 100% to everyone. I understand the responsibility of being Spider-Man and I refuse to let anyone down. When I see a child that needs some extra love, I feel literally pulled towards them to help in any way I can. We have been a part of many make-a-wish type moments with children fighting battles. Nothing I will ever do in my life will be more important than giving a child that just moments left here on earth a smile, a laugh, an encouraging word, or a hug. Nothing I will ever do will equal to the importance of that. It’s my purpose.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
It was at my 8th-grade track meet. I was pole vaulting. I already won 1st place and now was going to attempt to break the National record for a 12-year-old. I was turning 13 in a couple days, so this was my last chance at this record. All my family, all my grandparents, all my friends, and most of the school was gathered around. I stood at the end of the runway for so long looking at the bar. This was much higher than I’ve ever jumped but I put it in my head that I could do it… I started coming down the runway, I planted the pole, I swung up, and hear my dad tell you got it, and I flew over the crossbar. I landed on the mats to the roar of the crowd. 11 feet 9 and 1/4 inch
