Rising Stars: Meet Joseline Couso of Princeton, Tx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseline Couso.

Hi Joseline, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Joseline, though most people know me as Joss. I am an award-winning journalist with a background in television news reporting, where I developed a deep passion for storytelling and capturing meaningful moments.

After stepping away from television to embrace motherhood, I found a new way to tell stories—through photography in a professional way.

Elevate Studio by Joss was born in 2021 while I was studying journalism at the University of Florida. During that time, friends would reached out for graduation photos, headshots, and lifestyle sessions, allowing me to organically grow my craft and vision. I created the name and everything to make it look professional even though it wasn’t an actual business.

What started as a hobby has become my full-time mission: to elevate life’s most meaningful moments through timeless imagery.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I believe one of the biggest obstacles was finding both the time and the courage to begin. During my motherhood phase, while staying at home, I made the decision to rebrand my business and truly give it a chance as a career.

Being able to share my passion for storytelling while capturing someone else’s most meaningful moments has been incredibly fulfilling. It’s a path that has brought me so much purpose that I have no regrets about the decision I made at the beginning of 2025, when I relaunched my business and established it as an LLC.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I offer a wide range of photography services, including family sessions, graduations, maternity, branding, and corporate events.

In my sessions, I strive to capture genuine, raw moments. Even though I do guide my clients with posing, I believe that preserving real emotions—the smiles, the laughter, and the in-between moments—is what truly brings each image to life.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My husband and daughter have played an incredibly important role in this journey. They have always encouraged me to pursue what I love and to share that passion with others.

I am also deeply grateful to Anahi Arévalo from Moongether, who has been a true mentor to me in this beautiful world of photography. She has taught me so much and helped me understand that photography goes far beyond simply taking pictures—it’s about the storytelling, connection, emotions while capturing meaningful moments.
