Rising Stars: Meet Manya Foster of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manya Foster.

Hi Manya, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Manya Foster, and I’ve been a bridal hairstylist for over 10 years. I first stepped into the bridal industry while I was in cosmetology school and immediately fell in love with it. A year or two later, I decided to fully dedicate myself to bridal hair and really hone my skills in that area. Bridal hairstyling is completely different from salon hairstyling—it requires a different level of preparation, product knowledge, technique, and attention to detail. That’s something I always stress to artists entering this industry.
I believe I’m where I am today because of my humility, the way I treat people, and how I make my clients feel during and after their service. For me, it’s always been bigger than just hair. It’s about creating an experience, giving back to the people who invest in me, and pouring into my clients the same way they pour into my business. That, to me, is the true meaning of customer service.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly Yes! I don’t put myself in situations where my job will be stressful or create problems. I work with certain people even though the industry is big, I’m a big believer of your the company you keep so my work circle is small. Protect your peace.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Bridal hairstylist, I’m known for long lasting curls and unique braided styles.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by the experience my clients walk away with. Did I make them feel seen, heard, and confident? Did I truly listen to what they wanted and give them the best service I possibly could? For me, success isn’t just about the hairstyle—it’s about the connection, the trust, and creating an experience that makes someone want to return again and again.
I also define success by balance. Since most of my work happens on the weekends, I’m able to spend more time with my children during the week. Success to me is making sure my family still feels loved, supported, and prioritized while I continue building my business. Being able to pursue my passion while still showing up fully for my kids is one of the biggest accomplishments I could ask for.
