Today we’d like to introduce you to Pia Iribarne.
Hi Pia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born in Santiago, Chile, and lived there until 2008, I was 23, dealing with my life as a young woman with too many responsibilities, I was overwhelmed. One day I’ve decided to let all go, and join the love of my life who was living in Barcelona-Spain. It was risky, but I’ve take the ticket with no return, and there still has been no regrets!
Since moving from my hometown, I’ve been on a traveling journey. Every four to five years, my family and I have moved to different parts of the globe. I’ve lived in Spain, France, Mexico, and now I’m here in Dallas, loving it.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’m so grateful for the life that I get to live, with my husband we’ve built a life full of love, we have two children that has teaching us resilience and patience. Of course there has been struggles, and difficulties, start all over again it’s super hard, but you get to learn about not being disappointed by others when you stop putting expectations, and you get to understand people better!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Yoga found me when I was pregnant with my first child, 18 years ago, and my journey as a yoga instructor began in 2018. We were living in Guadalajara, Mexico, and I was new in town, with no friends, I’m extremely social so for me it’s was hard spent time on my own. I was trying to find something to do with myself, and then one of my neighbors invited me to join a group of yogis, and in three months, I was enrolled in my first 200-hour YTT.
Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to yoga practice. I’m now a 500-hour E-RYT. I manage the yoga program at Movement Gym in Grapevine, and I also teach at Lifetime Colleyville and Core Power Yoga in Southlake.
It’s has been incredibly fulfilling to be a full-time yoga instructor because I get to do what I love the most. However, the challenge arose when I moved to the USA. Since English isn’t my first language, things became a bit more difficult. Fortunately, at 2025, I started working for CorePower Yoga. With a few trainings, I’ve improved my English skills, and now teaching in English is no longer a struggle. Ultimately, yoga is about connection and has no boundaries. I’m here to prove that!
How do you think about luck?
Just do things with passion, and give your best, if you made a mistake, wrap up and start all over again, luck comes when you realize that you have all the power to push towards your goals and accomplish your dreams!
