Today we’d like to introduce you to Rawleigh Williams III.
Hi Rawleigh, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I’ve always strived to be someone that set up future generations and be another example of what hard work and determination looked like for family. After medically retiring from a successful college football career at the University of Arkansas in 2017, I went on to receive my bachelor’s degree in finance and master’s degree in operations management. After college, I began my work as an NFL agent, eventually becoming the Co-Founder of Milk & Honey Sports, where we represent some of the top football and baseball players in the world.
Working in the sports field helped me realize the power of influence. It has encouraged me not to just speak on the importance of creating streams of revenue off your passions, but to live the advice I often give. Thus, my fiancée, Lexi Cosgrove, and I started our journey to creating a business based on a passion that she helped me find: espresso martinis.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When first starting, sip Torne. (tor-nuh) espresso martinis, we (naively) thought that it’d be a 6-month period from the time that we began the creation of our formula to the time that we got on the shelves. In actuality, this process became one that took one year and six months from the start of our formulation process to the day that we released in stores. It wasn’t that anything went terribly wrong during this time, but instead a combination of not knowing what we didn’t know and wanting to ensure we did whatever it took to create a premium brand identity and product. No matter how long it took and how many obstacles we faced, quitting never became an option that was discussed.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the founding partner of Milk & Honey Sports where we represent NFL/MLB athletes and serve as the sports division of Milk & Honey which is one of the top music management companies in the world.
I co-manage Dallas native and star artist/songwriter Jayson Lyric.
I’m the co-founder of Sip Torne., a premium canned RTD espresso martini made with vodka that was perfectly crafted to be the drink for all occasions.
I’m most proud of the fact that I get to work with the people I love to help take their careers to new levels and work with my future wife to build a company that is quickly becoming a force in the spirits industry.
