Rising Stars: Meet Sonja Tisdale of Dallas-Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sonja Tisdale.

Hi Sonja, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Photography is a hobby that I have always loved. It was introduced to me by my mother, Cynthia. As far back as I can remember, she always had multiple cameras (Canon’s, Fuji, etc.). She loved taking pictures of almost anything and she started to teach me how to look for the best shots. Additionally, my Dad (Reggie) and I were in the AV ministry together at church. Even then I was dealing with cameras of some sort.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
To this point, my husband and I have been incredibly blessed, and we are grateful that our journey has been a positive one. While every business requires dedication, continuous learning, investment, and countless hours of practice, we have embraced each step as an opportunity to grow. We are thankful for the doors that have opened for us and remain committed to serving our clients with excellence while continuing to learn and improve every day.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
To date, my husband and I have had the privilege of providing portrait and private event photography while also offering creative branding services, including custom social media content, flyers, business cards, and other marketing materials. As a growing business, we are committed to continually refining our craft, expanding our services, and building a portfolio that reflects the quality, creativity, and professionalism our clients deserve. Every project presents an opportunity to learn, grow, and preserve meaningful moments while helping individuals and businesses tell their unique stories.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Without a doubt, my greatest joy is spending time with my husband, children, parents and other family members and close friends. They are my greatest source of happiness and inspiration. I also enjoy picking up my camera and capturing the beauty in everyday moments. Whether it’s a landscape, my dogs, or a quiet detail, photography allows me to slow down, be creative, and simply enjoy the what’s around me. It’s one of the most relaxing ways I spend my time.
