Meet Eric Rendon of Zerofret Media in Southlake

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Rendon.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Eric. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always been drawn to the creative side of things, more specifically the video aspect. I began making small videos in middle school for history projects with my friends. From there it was little odd jobs on the side for family friends. Piecing together slideshows and whatnot. Right as I graduated high school I was hired on as a part-time video editor at Gateway Church in Southlake. In 2014, I went full time into video production for Gateway where I really learned most of what I know today on the video aspect. Today I’m Associate Director of video production for Gateways Student and Young Adult ministries while also running my business, “Zerofret Media.”

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been a relatively smooth road. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the most talented and creative people in the video and production field.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Zerofret Media – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
As I had more job opportunities come up, I decided it was time to go ahead and start my own business. “Zerofret Media”. From someone who is in the small percentage who can do both videography and editing with ease, I figured making Zerofret Media a one-stop for media needs from weddings to commercial work was an ideal path to take. I’m proud of the efficiency I bring in my work, as quick turnaround doesn’t stress me out and are kind of my thing. I think that’s what sets Zerofret Media apart is exactly turnaround times. I don’t like to wait long periods of time when it comes to projects so why should my clients feel the same? I like that my business can provide quality work with minimal wait time.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the culture and diversity of our city. It may not seem relevant but my biggest dislike is the bike-share pollution. Every corner is a discarded lime bike or bird scooter.
